The scripts look look so cool. @___@

hey yall! any updates?
-im a bit worried hearing no progress!!
Yeah Im still working on mine. Almost have all the lines back, and have been looking for sound effects for certain bits. Still got a bit of animating to do though.
What about everyone else?
School's finally over so I'm finishing up the rough version. Has anyone had any experience making backgrounds in photoshop? I did a couple for my last movie, but it was mostly a trial and error thing.
The epitome of wannabe
I'm pretty close to finishing...around 80 percent I'd say. Just effects, backgrounds, and some animation to clean up...I'm okay with it but happy is still far off.
I wanted to do backgrounds in PS, too, but feel I lack the painting skill :P I may still go back over the bg's if I have a ton of extra time..
Denzel and I are still working on it! :)
It looks prety cool so far.
*as in im adding voice to it to see if it looks btter with music or with voice. we did music first because i had finals to study for and stuff. I will try m best to voice act for it. I hope things go well oh dear.*
Everything in this collab looks like its going fantastic. damn you guys are good.

I also tried PS backgrounds in this project. I made 3D models in Google SketchUp and PrintScreened the models from certain camera angles. Then I took this images to PhotoShop and traced, colored, and textured them. After finishing 2 out of 11 images, I decided it was taking too long so I'm just going to make the backgrounds in Flash for this project. One of the completed angles is shown at the end of this post.
I don't know if I will make the deadline but I sure as hell am going to try my best. I even stopped playing Modern Warfare 2 to work on my part. All I have is an hour a day and most of Sunday to animate so right now I need to PM my script to Sapphire and get back to work.
cool! im glad to hear such progress from everyone! i think this thing is really gonna take off soon. Im hoping to have it submitted after the xmas submissions die down, if that sounds good with every one.
one note- im gonna need help with the menu screen...im shit for programming...so like to give the option to PLAY ALL and then be able to select the parts separately.....i have no clue...so if anyone wants to assist with that...OR ...if you are not involved with this project yet and just want to help with the programming in the menu and such that would be great too!
WOOT LADY NOIR!
I really need to know if we can use V-Cam or not.
Would also like to know this.
The epitome of wannabe
i dont exactly know what v-cam is either......but what i do know is that in previous collabs i've been in, v-cam has caused a lot of problems....and lord knows, with my shitty compiling and coding skills that i dont need any more problems than i already have! haha
so im gonna have to say no v-cam (i hope that it doesnt mess up ur plans too much!)
http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/javascri pt/2004/08/17/flashhacks.html?page=2
The above link explains V-Cam.
RedHarvest, I can get around this obstacle but I think the only reason V-Cam screwed up in other collabs is because of conflicting ActionScripts. For instance, the collab organizer is using AS3 and a collab contributor brings in a V-Cam made for AS2. That's a no-no, I think.
I think if we are all using Flash 8 the code should be the same but I don't know for sure. I'm not a programmer but I know that my V-Cam worked in the Food Collab. You can ask Boogley how he made it work.
However, I can do my part with out V-Cam.
FFFFFFF no vcam?
Awww. It's gonna take like three extra hours to finish now :C
@ frameslinger....
i just dont know man...i feel like its really gonna throw things off for me...
i'll say this- if people really want to use v-cam. and it ends up causing problems...then that will just add onto the release time until i can figure it out.
so i suppose i will allow it if that many people want to use it.
but YES actionscript 2 only please ( to keep stuff consistent)
V cam usually causes TERRIBLE lag if used incorrectly, which would potentially ruin the collab. Its lag depends on the computer viewing it. I do not think we should risk that.
grrr....i hate dealing with shit like this.....
bubbowarp- how crucial is it for u to use it?
________________
also i forgot to mention, could i ask all of you guys to make your whole parts in a one frame movie clip? if anyone doesnt know how to do that feel free to ask me!
Awww :/
Well, it's not crucial, but I'll have to go back and recolor, retween, etc. and I'm not even done yet. So I can do without the VCam, but I may be late with my part. Dunno, though.
i am just gonna simplify things and say no v-cam..
if u are late with ur part bubbo, thats ok.
and since u (frameslinger) are still not guaranteed a part....theres no reason to have it just for u...
sorry for bein a dick! but i just want this project to come out as swiftly and as problem free as possible.
I agree and understand completely. I don't think I will finish in time anyways.

saaaaame here.
Would it be better to just delay the release a bit more?

From the get-go, I thought the initial release date was a tad rushy. I would feel a lot more comfortable with it if I had more time.
that seems alright to me....would you guys wanna just push it back to say....jan 12? (grrr...i hate pushing back deadlines...but i will do it to ensure quality work!)
also this deadline push should give bubbowrap the time to adapt his vcam stuff!
