Is a fucking masterpiece! Never, did I think that a cinematic film of a book would be as fantastic as this was. I honestly was wondering if they were going to ruin the book, I feel ashamed that I ever thought this. It starts out sort of "boring" I guess you could say, but that is just to build up the character Max. The "monsters" from the island where 100% identical to the ones that were illustrated by the author in the storybook (I came home and my girlfriend went to check, she was astonished).

I loved the book, and am a big fan of the movie. It did happen to make me cry, what part made me cry you will have to watch it for yourself to figure that out. The movie also has morals, if you watch it carefully you will be able to pick up on the story that is trying to be portrayed.

What really blew my mind was that they managed to take a book that takes the average reader about three to five minutes to read into a full length film. Honestly, I have never been so impressed in my life.

District 9 was schooled by a "make-believe" child's tale... Honestly, best movie yet.
A must see & buy!

You're wrong, my daughter and son understand the story better then you do and they are 4 & 2 years old.

You can't confine an epic book in one lame sentence like that. It's not allowed. That'd be like compressing The Very Hungry Caterpillar or Goodnight Moon in a sentence. Fuck you. I hope to see this movie soon, I am dying to watch it.

I'd love to see this movie: I was a massive fan of the book when I was younger, and still am. This film, I hope will reignite memories and love for my childhood which I have started to forget. I think it will be an amazing film, and even the soundtrack will most likely be impressive too (Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeahs has taken her time to create it). Can't wait to see it.

Yeah. It was one of my favorite books as a kid and the movie looks pretty good.

I never even liked Where The Wild Things Are as a kid, so what makes you think I'm gonna go watch this "epic" movie grown up?

The movie isn't really that great, it's just a pussy emo fest.

SPOILER:
The only part I liked was when Carol tore that dudes arm off and beat him w/ it.
