You know, you don't both need to have the same DAW to collab. Although it would make things much, much easier, you can always write part of a track, export, and use the .WAV / .MP3 file(s) to collab. In fact, I'm going to be collabing with Jon for this EP and we both use different DAWs. So really, try doing what we'll be doing, which is very effective from what we've heard from a few professionals.
