Well... Me and my girlfriend are trying to decide what scary movie to watch... So I was wondering "Why don't I go to Newgrounds, and ask them? I'm bored anyway, I'll go around the BBS!"... So, General, got anything in mind?

The Grudge, man!! After I saw that, I slept with the lights on for like a month!
I'm not even fucking joking, that movie is shit-in-your-pants scary (my pants were clean the entire time)
Another great horror film is The Ring. It's about a video tape with a bunch of weird, disturbing shit on it, and then when you watch it, the phone rings and a voice says 'you will die in seven days'. Then, seven days later, some ugly-ass bitch crawls out of your tv and kills you.
If you don't want either of those, I recommend the classic slasher films. Friday the 13th was probably my favorite, and Nightmare on Elmstreet was a close second. You could also celebrate the upcoming holiday by watching some of the Halloween series. Word of advice, do NOT WATCH the 3rd Halloween movie. It sucks cock, it isn't scary, and the plot is completely 100% irrelevant to the other 9 movies.

SHIT. I forgot all about Scream! There were only three, but MAN were they awesome! I liked them all, but I think the 2nd one was my favorite.
Don't forget the Zombies!! George A. Romero is a fucking artist. Night of the Living Dead wasn't great, but if you like black and white movies, there ya go. Dawn of the Dead and Day of the dead were both just fucking awesome!! Zack Snyder remade Dawn of the Dead in 2004, and that one kicked ass too. Then, in 2005, George A. Romero made one last masterpiece; Land of the Dead. I recommend you see every one of those movies.
Then, there's the oldies. Wolf Man, Dracula, Invisible Man (that movie kicks ass), Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, The Incredible Shrinking Man, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, and The Blob. The Blob was good, but it was the 80's remake I LOVED!!! Either one is good, though.

I am a horror movie fanatic, so I could think of endless amounts of horror movies; But for a good movie with an actual decent story to it, and "some" originality and different takes on horror movies of todays age, here are a few you should definitely pick up, if not for the scare, but for the suspense.
In no particular order:
Black Christmas (Original)
The remake is not even a remake in a sense; It is absolutely nothing like the original and ruined most
people from even considering from viewing the original judging on how bad the remake was.
The Last House On The Left (Original)
Personally one of Wes Cravens best; The remake was dreadful, this isn't. The movie had some errors in : it that are quite noticeable, but don't take anything away from the movie.
Don't Look Now
The whole movie isn't scary until.... well just watch and find out.
Eyes Wide Shut
Not really considered a horror movie, but the strangeness of "The scene" might make you have different : views upon sex. Though not necessarily "scary," it is sure something to see for Halloween.
Alice Sweet Alice
Simply makes you think about the ending. What REALLY happened.
A Fresh start. 10/24/09

The Ring, the jap version, the US version looks shit, I even found that version a bit funny.
The Grudge, the jap version, because.. (same as above).
Shutter, the asian version, sounds better if you can't understand what they're saying and have to read the subtitles.
And...Diary of the Dead, not that scary, but...well, see for yourself.
I cannot believe the gods are playing dice with the universe.

I saw Orphan about two days ago, and it was a lot better than I expected it to be.
It was very well made and filmed, and the characters are well developed.
It has a low budget, but for a modern horror film, it's actually a pretty interesting film.
Go with that.

Well, since you're watching it with your girlfriend... The only reasonable option is Lars von Trier's "Antichrist" which came out a few months ago.
It's a really good movie to watch with your better half; It deals with relationships, and messes with gender-roles really well.

Also shows Vaginal Penetration, so there's a Bonus.

...okay it's quite obvious that you've never seen that movie because it's a musical comedy. I'm guessing you haven't seen the other movies either because you're a 13 year old tool who has no original opinions.

Someone already said cube but I second it. Other than that I haven't seen any good horror movies, I never get around to watching old ones and the newest ones stink. That Horsemen movie was pretty good though
