Arrested for being naked at home

Eric Williamson, 29, got up at 5:30 a.m. Monday and went to the kitchen to make some coffee. He was naked, but he was alone in the Springfield house, so he didn't think it mattered. WRONG!

A woman and a 7-year-old boy were cutting through Williamson's front yard from a nearby path, according to WTTG-TV, Channel 5 in Washington. Through his front window, they saw Williamson having coffee in his birthday suit.
Fairfax County police showed up and arrested him. Williamson said he had no idea anyone could see him, but police said they believed he wanted to be seen by the public, said WTTG, a Faux station.
If convicted, Williamson could face one year in jail and a $2,000 fine. He plans to fight the charge.

"If I stood and seemed comfortable in my kitchen, it's natural. It's my kitchen," he told the station.

He was in his own home, they saw him from his own property, it's not like he ran out there and stuck it in one of there faces or anything. People's freedom and liberty isn't even safe in their own homes.

Yeah, you're right. It's not the same thing. But he was fined for something that wasn't illegal. Also he wasn't alone, my brother and another friend were there. He's also not one for bullshitting. He's probably the most straight edge, law abiding, honest person I know. I'd believe him just because that I don't think he's capable of breaking the law.

that guy lives in my general neighborhood. I am frankly not suprised by it. We have a really old straight-laced community of white people that are very homey and old-fashioned, soccer moms and such. I remember being 'nicely' asked if it would be too much of an inconvenience for me to smoke in my back yard rather than at the doorstep of my house. If he truly wanted to be seen naked then he would have been hanging around the window naked during the bloody day, not at half 5 in the morning! Who the hell is out of their bed with a 7 year old boy at that time anyway? Is there no school bus?

The police forces have failed to put the time of day it happened into context when judging this man. It's absolute bullshit.

Story's like this just make me rage. Why should a man be arrested in his own home when it was the woman who was trespassing? Why didn't the police ask why a woman had her 7 year old son outside at 5:30am? This entire story is fucking bullshit.
