My top 5
1.Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Atley
2.Tarzan Boy - Baltimora
3.Take on Me - Aha
4.99 Luft Ballons - Nena
5.Every Breath You Take - The Police
Personally, I abhor the 80s. The music, the outfits, the shows - all of it.
I just don't understand how so many people look fondly back at the 80s, especially through "80s theme parties".
I mean, seriously...

The Final Countdown is the best. No contest.
I also enjoy Living on a Prayer. Gotta love that hair metal.
I am a new terror born in death, a new superstition entering the unassailable fortress of forever. I am legend.
True Faith, and almost everything by New Order.

Yep, bands these days are way better....
Young man, I do not see Panama or anything by Van Halen on here, which is a travesty. Please fix this.
Sadly, most people only know the bassline as the "Oh, it's what's-his-name-Vanilla Ice!" one...

I'm seeing mainly new wave stuff. Only one mention of greats like Van Halen. And more disputed but nonetheless populars like Bon Jovi. How about:

2) Poison - Nothin But A Good Time
3) Van Halen - Hot For Teacher
4) Faster Pussycat - Bathroom Wall
5) Bon Jovi - Dead Or Alive
6) Dio - Holy Diver

9) Journey - Don't Stop Believin
Lita Ford - Kiss Me Deadly (Look at the pic, you'd do her)
10) Metallica - Master Of Puppets
11) Ratt - Round And Round
Okay, thats eleven songs, and i could name more. But you can't tell me that there isn't at least one song or artist on that list you like. And what about the Rap/Hip-Hop of the 80's? Nobody has even touched that yet.

Also, did a-ha do anything else good outside of Take on Me?
I would say to check out Journey, they have some good 80s music. AC/DC Judas Priest, all good 80's bands.
"Live Wire" - Montly Crue
Best Crue song ever.
My top ten:
1. How Soon is Now by the Smiths
2. Just Like Heaven by the Cure
3. I Am the Resurrection by the Stone Roses
4. Ashes to Ashes by David Bowie
5. Blue Monday by New Order
6. Beast of Burden by the Rolling Stones
7. Rock the Casbah by the Clash
8. Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie

Well good music from the 80's is rare. But to name some... All of the music from 'The Cure'.
