When the HD DVD/Blu-ray war came to a sudden end in February 2008, it was quickly followed by word that Microsoft and Sony were discussing a Blu-ray drive for the Xbox 360. Now, 20 months later, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer appears to have confirmed that the Xbox 360 will be getting a Blu-ray player of some sort.

I expected this day to come one day. Now I can finally enjoy Blu-Ray without buying a console that would just collect dust.

You opinions?

Kind of inevitable though it seems kind of funny that the two companies would join heads and discuss when there's competition between them on the console front. It just goes to show that when it comes to this sort of stuff money is the negotiation.

That would be easy.

It's the same thing with the Wii. Everyone wants a DVD player for it, even though you can just buy a stand alone DVD player for cheap now. I saw one for $20 at Wal-Mart.

There is no such thing as someone who doesn't like the PS3, there is only poor people who can't afford one. PS3 owners pity you and hope you can one day get out of poverty.

Theres nothing wrong with the PS3 its the most powerful console to date. Its just not that popular since it was so expensive for a long time. It has its variety of good games just like the 360 just like the wii.

But either way It's great they're finally embracing blu-ray, another reason why I'm glad to be a 360 owner!

I've been telling my friend to get a 360 over a PS3. He said that he'd like a 360, but he wants a PS3 more only because it can play "Blu Ray".
