Ladybugs are harmless. They're just attracted to light and warmth. They don't crawl around your food like other bugs do.

I've never seen one in person.

The topic starter must live in Illinois. I too have seen them. They have yellow/orange backs don't they. And that one that got in your shirt flew down the back of your shirt didn't it? The University of Illinois is responsible for genetically engineering/releasing those little bastards. Thank them.

The was something like this at my neighbours garden, I spent most of the day collecting about 200 of them and then I made a fire and burned them.

I'm going to write a creature feature based on this thread. I'm thinking aracnophobia, or Infested something like that, but with ladybirds. They have fangs too. And because of the radiation poisoning they've grown to human size. I'll put my "Attack of the killer man sized fleas" film on the backburner. Just gotta think of a good plot...
