Dozens of reasons not to do anything. I chew occasionally, the nicotine relaxes you. My preference is cigars though.

True about dozens of reasons not to do anything, but with smoking and this chewing tobacco it greatlyyyyyy increases chances of all kinds of problems.

All the relaxation now isn't worth the pain later.

Yeah dude in like 20 years you might as well have lung cancer and skin cancer in your mouth, also emphysema your gonna be so pissed, I mean why not you right? you smoke and dip, happens to a lot of people who do that. For what? all for looking kind of cool to your friends and being "relaxed".

yeah, the only problem is its highly unstatistical that you will have to go through what he did.

and people think its worth the risk when the risk is that low...

i mean fuck if there was a 50% chance that you would have to go through what he did if you chewed for 30 years do you really think there would be any customers? fuck no.

this kind of shit happens, but its like 1 in tens of thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands.

These days, at least in my society, there is enough stigma towards tobacco that every social group either looks down upon smoking or accepts and respects your choice not to smoke. The peer pressure that was once the most prevalent issues in teen and pre-teen nicotine addiction is virtually non-existent where I come from.

It may seem like a lame anti-smoking marketing ad - but smoking isn't "cool." I respect your right to smoke though :/

Damn, in America its exactly the opposite. Go to a highschool and look at the kids who smoke.

I may have exaggerated slightly, underage smoking is still a huge issue, I just think there are enough educated people to respect other people's choices, and not pressure them into a health hazard by means of an ego boost.

but to be on topic
so fucking what if it kills you, personally i smoke because i've quit a variety of drugs and i need at least one thing that's fucking legal and can calm me down (i have some bad anger problems) therefore i dont do it so i can be all "I AREZ TO BE BAD ASSES GAIZ" because anyone who would do anything to be cool is just a fucking poser. i dont care much about how it shorted my life because something else will just do it anyways.

also plz people stop with these kinda threads they turn into massive flame wars :|

See people, if this person didn't smoke he'd go postal on a school.

Smoking saves lives.

Also, I'd like to compare it to driving a vehicle. Most vehicles are still gas and diesel, and most people drive short distances even though you could easily walk or bike. Not driving means you either walk or ride a bike, which is actually good for you, not to mention you don't have to spend thousands on a vehicle, insurance, gas, maintenance, and the 100% chance that you will be in an accident at some point in your life (assuming you don't die from some kid going postal the day after you actually get your license because he couldn't get a smoke to relax him.)

Smoking and driving a car have nothing in common, and if you believe that shit whether it be pollution wise or danger wise (getting in a crash) you must lack proper knowledge. Absolutely no need to smoke.

Using smoking as an excuse for not doing drugs is pathetic.

my anger problems are not that bad and i have it fairly under control, but if someone really pisses me off i can loss all self control long enough to do something i might regret (and im not a god damn kid and im not in school)

therefore i would go postal in my workplace :P

also i walk places cause its more fun, you get to see some cool stuf that you would normally miss if you were driving

Plenty of people kill themselves by sealing the cracks in their garage and turning on the car, carbon monoxide poisoning is very real and very lethal. Hemoglobin has 280 or so times the affinity for carbon monoxide as it does for oxygen. Several countries almost skipped the Olympics because of Beijing's air pollution. Go to L.A on a hot humid day, you'll see the smog very clearly.

The 100% chance of being in a car crash is what I learned in drivers ed, and from people I've talked to the numbers seem to add up. It doesn't have to be something that sends you to the hospital, I've been rear-ended before, that counts.

Using smoking as an excuse for not doing drugs is pathetic.

If smoking is his greatest vice, he's doing pretty good. Anyone who isn't being nestled by mommy and daddy probably would agree.

Ok yeah, thats the typical shit excuse a smoker has to say, you seem to not understand. Driving is a need that the world needs in order to function at all. Smoking does the exact opposite, it does no good what so ever

ok.....cool...your point? Why are you even comparing smoking and driving? You should compare smoking vs non smoking, because thats really the only thing you can compare.

Believe it or not, I don't smoke. Once in a blue moon I'll have a cigar, the ones that go for $20-$40 a piece, hand rolled and aged for a couple years. Cigar smoking for me is like wine tasting for the rest of the world. 80% of people don't need to drive including me, but I realize that I'd rather drive to where I want to be quickly (or on a pleasure cruise) than spend an extra 10 minutes biking or walking. People got along just fine without driving, there are trains and boats and horses and buggies. Not to mention there is ample public transit. To say everybody NEEDS to drive is delusional, in a small town you can walk and bike, in a large city you can use public transit. To get to other cities you have planes, buses, trains.

The world got along fine without cars and trucks for a very long time.

ok.....cool...your point? Why are you even comparing smoking and driving? You should compare smoking vs non smoking, because thats really the only thing you can compare.

You're saying smoking is unnecessary and unhealthy, I'm merely applying your standard to something else, like driving. Don't blame me if you get blinded by your own hypocrisy.

I'm not blindsided by anything, We NEED transportation for the world to run, we dont need cigs for shit. "ok yeah lets never drive again" see how far the world will advance if no one can get around.

I'm no longer responding to these childish circle games. Face it, the world would be a happier place if tobacco doesn't exist.
