I actually haven't seen much changed, but i miss my gamecube.

nah, i love the new site and how much its changed. i dont see what the DD complained about. If it's that bad, then find another site. It's not worth getting in serious trouble just to get back at somebody for choosing to run his own site that he paid for his own way.

the thing i like most about it is that it has everything,videos,music,games,art. This is obviously the best site ever made!

i would keep everything the same,but it will show whats in the video again,like,mild violence,mild nudity,mild language,etc.

Twas a cold fall day, I, a young boy of ten years. I had discovered an animation of sorts and it had led me to this wondrous home of terrors.

- I think around 2004-2005. I went to UGOflash-something a lot to play games, and watch LegendaryFrog movies. Eventually I came here because a friend of mine told me that Newgrounds had "More stuff on it, its not all as good as <otherflashsite> but theres a ton."

What do you most enjoy about the site?
-I come here for the movies, unlike most people (it seems). I've never really been an active member of the community, mainly because the forums feel like one of those communities that's been established sense 1999. XD I also love the Art Portal, even though its so rarely updated. Gives me something to do whilst listening to Pandora. Newgrounds Holidays and inside jokes are also great fun. :)

-Maybe I'd play with the forums a bit, to make them more to my taste. Also, I'd probably update the front page more often; I hate seeing the same flashes there for 5, 6 days in a row.

-Theres a lot of artists I love who aren't very active anymore. If they came back, I'd be full of...happiness. I'd like to see more flash from Stamper, JohnnyUtah, LegendaryFrog, and I miss the days when I found brilliant artists for the first time. I need to go out there and explore. :3

I first saw the site in maybe late 2005, I got a pop-up and went back to flashplayer.com. I came back in 06' and made an account to get votes.

I enjoy the community and the overall quality of the flashes and games. If I had to pick, I would say the forums, as it has more of a pulling power than watching short animations.

I wish the audio partal was modeled directly after the flash portal; with a top 50 of all time section, user-based portal blamming and protecting, and definitely count towards the user's experience points. *Some more categories for music also wouldn't hurt

I do miss the animations; instant reward is a very powerful tool in public relations. It made you feel like you were doing more for the site, and not just bolstering your account stats. Maybe if the Mag could come back with a greater focus, like having a link to an artist's interview next to their names when viewing a flash.

I honestly cannot remember. I think I got here through AddictingGames.com, I used to play games when I was younger at school mainly and pow I found this site and fell in love with it.

Honestly I think the current NG layout is the best it has been so far. In fact I fell in love with the (currently front paged) game ERGON / LOGOS because it was the perfect dimensions for the current NG design :) Although of course I wasn't much of a fan of the actual flash, because I couldn't kill anything. That's a -1 in my book I'm afraid!

I would add a Preview feature in the Audio Portal, it's really annoying having to load all the pages when you're searching for a certain kind of song especially when you have a slow computer. I think this would make the website 10 times better.

What i enjoy most about this site is the idea of letting people submit their creative projects that we get to enjoy. Many great videos have been made due to the site Newgrounds.

I was 8 years old, over my cousins house in NewJersey. He was 2 years older and went on the internet frequently. He then went on to show me the first ever episode ofRetarded Animal Babies.

2. I enjoy the forums the most.
3. I would change the day Tom created Newgrounds, and force him to add an "Edit" button for forum posts.
4. I miss some animators that do not make flash any more. For example, I love CAMERA-BOI, but he does not do those hilarious voice overs anymore, or make flash alone anymore.

I was at the library and saw some kids playing Pico's school and asked them the webstie one of the kid's told me "don't go, it's got bad stuff on it" I was horrified by the site, I was also 5.

What do you most enjoy about the site? There is something so liberating about mostly unfiltered user-created content. I love it all, good or bad, because it's real.

In the early 2000s when I was in middle school, kids were talking about assassin and Britney Spears parodies. (Particularly the one where you make her tits bigger)

Newgrounds to youtube is like private colleges to state colleges, here on Newgrounds there's this sense of community that isn't present on youtube or twitter or anything, there's something special I like about this site. As well as the flash movies and games those aren't bad ethier.

Alot of the problems facing Newgrounds are external, things like the spam flashers or stealers, I think that there may be too much of a "good ol boy" thing going on with the staff and big names like Egoraptor and such. I think there ought to be tiers too basic flash exposure something other than p-bot postings, or move it higher up on the front page.

I first learned about newgrounds sometime after 06/24/2001 but before 12/30/01. I know it was after 6/24/2001 because the first thing I saw was ...

I found a link to it on a forum that I was lurking around on. It was my first taste of newgrounds and it was up beat, funny, and slightly disturbing and it got me hooked. The site was a lot rougher in those days; the highest rated flash had a score of like three and a half.

What I enjoyed the most about the site was how you never had any idea what you would stumble on. High School of the Apes, Disorderly, Kong, Eskimo Bob, Headache, Xiao Xiao No. 3 to name few. They were funny, they were serious, they were violent; there was anything you could want.

The biggest problem that the site has is that is pretty hard to find good content that's been on the site for a while. The search function is working better then it has in the past but it still isn't that great. Things like letting you sort your search results by date, author, score, views, stuff like that would help. Being able to do the same within the Games, Movies, Collections, and Series pages could also be beneficial. Those pages also have historically suffered from slow updating, it's gotten a lot better though, with so much on the front page, a lot makes it into the collections but I still suspect more could be done.

I'd like to see the blam animation back, the save one was too long but another short little animation would be cool. But what I really miss is the Assassin page. It used to be the site's flagship but has fallen in to the shadows over the years. It's no one's fault though, the users have moved away from making those types of games.

when i was 8. i played the mini golf games all the time :) I got back into it when i was 11 when my friend was searching funny toons and found the ever popular RAB XD Now i just came back as a 15 year old 'cuz i wanna get serious about animating.

I love the community that brings all people together. No matter how good or bad you are, people accept you as their brother with open arms.

I would let people change their names, but they get announced publicly on a list. I'd make international headquaters so each reigon can have individual shops so Newgrounds would sound much more like a corporation ;P (I swear, if there was a shop in australia, i'd buy everything and anything that ever goes on sale XD) That, and i'd ban the IP adress of all the annoying spammers like chris beer. I mean, clock crew was a propper spam crew, this guy is just a complete nut job who posts vile and disgusting videos and people STILL vote up :(

Long, long ago - so long I can't remember the exact day. I do remember I'd been pointed by an internet friend to a game on ArmorGames. I enjoyed the site and spent some time on it and eventually I randomly found a link to NewGrounds. I liked NewGrounds better so I started using it for my defacto flash page instead.

What do you most enjoy about the site?

I absolutely love the fact that it allows less mainstream content to bubble to the top. It's made me aware of a lot of really enjoyable games that I'd've completely missed were it not for this site.

I love the review system as opposed to the comment system implemented elsewhere. Of course it doesn't remove the "lol wut? 0/5" type comments, but those who wish to say something real will avoid them knowing they can't go back to add to them. Naturally, those who don't wish to say something real don't matter much to those reading the comments anyway, so meh (although the following notion is probably worth pondering: those who leave an abusive review and get it deleted cannot leave another review for the same submission).

I wouldn't bother trying to fix a damn thing. Attempting to do so would only destroy what NewGrounds offers. Is there a helluva lot wrong with the site? Heck yeah! However, there's an incredibly large segment of very valuable content and features that this site offers. This segment cannot be found in any meaningful sense anywhere else on the internet and I wouldn't risk destroying it by changing anything (especially when everything I believe needs "fixing" can be found in a "fixed" form on other sites).

Actually, no - I take that back. If I could change one thing I'd ensure that every single link to any flash on this website (no matter how large or small that link may be or in what context it falls) would carry with it a clear and distinctive label as to whether it's a game or a movie. Flash movies do not interest me. Flash games do. I'm sure there is a relevant segment of the NewGrounds population that feels this way. I'm sure there is a relevant segment of the NewGrounds population that feels the opposite way. We'd both appreciate such a system.

Also, a penalty for an incorrect blam/save choice would probably drastically improve the submission process. Add an additional penalty if an admin randomly reviews a submission and disagrees with you and a lower voting power the more your score is penalized (even down to zero) and you'd see a lot fewer spam submissions pass judgement due to crews and similar such hijinx.

When did you first learn about Newgrounds?
From some kid I knew a while back. Basically he showed me some 2005 animations such as prowlies and maxwell edison, and I thought they were pretty cool. But what really got me interested was the program used to make this stuff. To me it was kinda the answer to my creative needs. A versatile program which you can make animations and games. Originally I wanted to make games, but I figured animations would be easier to start off with, so I did that. I still have yet to make a decent game.

What do you most enjoy about the site?
Probably just the sheer creativity that emanates from this site, mostly just seeing something new and impressive every once in a while. Also, the cool collaborative projects that people tend to organize together.

Hmm, administration isn't really my strong suit. I'll just pass on this one...

When did you first learn about Newgrounds?

I first learned about this AWESOME site from my friends/classmates at my old high school Boston Arts Academy. They were all psyched that there was a place to submit your own Flash and Audio works online. They introduced it to me, I asked what it was, went on on my own and instantly got hooked. I then signed up for an account and here I am.

What do you most enjoy about the site?

I really enjoy the feedback part of this site. I mean I submit audio a lot and I like to get feedback of what the viewers think. I have never seen another site that does this and I think it is very unique. I am very happy there is such a thing so authors like myself can rework their pieces so well done Newgrounds.

Given one day at the reins of the site, what would you change, what would you fix?

Given one day at the reins I would probably let everything as it is (which is why Willy Wonka chose kids not adults to run his factory after he leaves). But I would tinker around a bit with the fonts and the backgrounds for a while to try new art and see how it works out but then I would go back to the old ways cause they are the best. But that is changing things...there are a few things I would try to fix.

Basically no. It is a viewer based system and the viewers know whats crap and whats not and I do believe they made the correct decisions when they did. It is a tally of Blams and Saves so the viewers have control and I do believe that is a good way of doing things so no, I don't miss anything.
