Ages ago, I've been lurking on here since I was like 12 or so, don't quite remember. It wasn't until a few years ago I noticed that there was an Art Forum that prompted me to make an account.

I like most aspects of the site. It gives me something to do instead of being bored. Plus I get most of my news from kids in the general forum, which is actually pretty sad now that I think of it.

the inspiration, competitiveness, and opportunity it gives someone to post their stuff and get some good feedback from at least a few (usually for me) unbiased anonymous individuals

i'd ask for 100 more wishes. wait a second....no i actually have no idea what the most professional choice would be considering budget costs and marketing stability of certain things. i would add a classics section though, voter based from older users, to be able to vote in the old stuff that used to be in the top 50...

i might also make the staff take a break from site design (if thats what they work on all day) make tons of art and animation tutorials because it'd be nice to have different styles that make up the site be able to teach those learning. right now I just see a lot of 'how to use flash' tutorials, and not actual animation or drawing skills. (which take lots of practice of course, as well)

i would like those animations back, i would also like to see the NG Alpha section revived and used by sponsored submissions with interviews and whatnot. or maybe up and rising user interviews, telling us about their secrets of getting so good so fast!

I'd like to say 2005. It used to just be a random website that I occasionally went on.

Obviously the submissions! It's fun to just sit down and play a game when you've had a bad day.

Definately the Games pages. I'd put an extra button in to show ALL submissions that fit into a certain catagory.

If I were in Tom position, I'd edit the size of the icon that appears when you review something, cause in my opinion 46x46 pts is kinda really small.

Despite people's best attempts to prove otherwise, the community here is pretty damn nice. Some good people who tend to help each other out a lot. They will mock you and torment you... but they will help you as well.

Reorganize the PM system. Make it more like a e-mail box with folders and better ways to organize the content. Also an ability to see sent messages.

When did you first learn about Newgrounds?

I first learned about Newgrounds in 7th or 8th grade by my friend Joel, so that was roughly in 2003 or 2004.

What do you most enjoy about the site?

The huge community of extremely creative and talented people who make this site amazing. Over the past year I've become more involved in collaborations and projects and the results are more often than not positive. Newgrounds does a fantastic job of making one feel a part of something larger and valued, especially if they come with a positive attitude. This is truly the greatest communities on the web for artistic expression.

Given one day at the reins of the site, what would you change, what would you fix?

First I would change the reviews to include whether or not the artist felt the review was helpful or not. Too many reviews are judged on popularity right now, so it would be good for the author of a review to receive some honest feedback.

Next I would make badges for front page submissions, whether they be audio,flash, or art. Right now the art portal has front page badges, but nothing else.

Then I would allow the the authors of submissions to create a custom collaboration title. Sometimes you just want something special. Obviously this could be abused, so a system would have to be put in place to make sure things such as "cock sucker" aren't thrown in. One option might be a page where the community can create their own titles and those would be added to the permanent list.

I would update the Lit sections, especially the "About Newgrounds", to reflect on the most recent activity of the site. Sometimes it is fun to read about the site we love, but it is frustrating when it doesn't include the past couple years. I would also create an interactive office tour. Many of us wonder what it looks like and only a detailed tour would do it justice.

Finally I would add a Black Button skin option. They are just sexy.

Obviously this would be a 24 hour work day with no distractions. :)

Not really. I love everything Newgrounds has done and I just hope it keeps moving forward and moves in the same direction it always has.

I first learned about newgrounds from overly eager animating boyfriend.
The thing I like most about this site is being able to see everyone's work for free. There is so much talent here and I know I wouldnt be able to afford to see all of this if I had to pay
If I could change one thing it would be the organization of the site--sometimes I get lost looking for things >_<..Also the search bar can be a pain in the ass
I don't miss anything because I like the direction the site is going in.

I suppose it was the huge variety of cartoons and games. But also that legit feel. Like, other sites I went to had obviously stolen games and stuff, but Newgrounds felt much more user orientated and professional.

When I was in High School my brother mentioned this site to me, however I cannot remember what flash it was. It might have been Disorderly. After forgetting its name, and rediscovering the site, I signed up and have been here since*

Attempt to make it easier to get higher levels/vote power. It already takes 10+ years to get to level 60, and sure it may produce a few Level 60's, but why is it there if the goal seems so lofty? I'd do this by either

A. Allow voting on Audio and/or Art submissions, 1 EXP per entry, plus the 10 we get for Flash, for a total of 20 EXP in a day
B. Decrease the number of time it takes to level up in the Blam/Protect and Level stats.

Hopefully this will give more incentive to vote on Under Judgement flash and such and have greater variations in Level avatars on the forum.

I don't miss much. I never had an animated .gif sig, and the old animations were cool to have, but I don't have much to gripe about.

I enjoy the fact that the music I create can get some exposure and people can use it for whatever they want. It's nice to create something and have people say, "Hey, I like this. I want to use it in blah blah blah..."

I would try to find a way to make the audio portal more prominent. For example, find a way to get new artists more attention, give out more awards instead of just top 5, promote more than 4 songs on the front page, etc.

The thing I enjoy the most is probably the forums, though the flash portal provides some good entertainment. I also use the audio portal.
If I could change the site for one day, I'd speed up the chat, add an edit button and make the forum more SMF-like. (Awesomer)
I'd like to see animated sigs and the old animations (thing showing .swf icons flying around) on the flash portal back. Those were cool. also bytesize

I learned about it back in 2004, but didn't make an account til almost 4 years later. I would go on here maybe twice a month to play games for about, 2-3 hours.

Definitely posting on the BBS. The users here are so nice, so funny, or so unaware and are making the biggest mistake of their life posting on here. That's why I love the BBS <3.

Possibly the front page, maybe make more options or once in a while, update the games section. Sometimes I just feel in the mood to play a game, but all the ones on the front page are just stupid/not the ones I'm in the mood for, and the ones in the games section are just boring sometimes OR categorized wrong, so to find my games sometimes I have to search through the flash portal.

What would I like to see come back? Well I did not see enough of the old NG to remember anything spectacular so sadly I did not visit enough when I was young to want any of the old NG, however the sliding EXP scale once pimp hits 60 would be fun.
