Shoppers in a Wisconsin grocery store got an unexpected surprise when a 125lb black bear wandered inside - and went straight for the beer.

The bear stopped at Marketplace Foods in Hayward, about 140 miles north-east of Minneapolis, sauntering through the automatic doors and heading straight for the alcohol section.

It calmly climbed 12 feet on to a shelf in the beer chiller where it sat for about an hour while employees evacuated customers and summoned wildlife experts.

Wow, I wish I had thirsty bears rampaging around my local Tescos.

What a champ.

Swallow your sugar pills, inject your saline, breath in some hydroxide mist and have a nice day.

It really speaks to the functionality of automatic doors. I mean, when will I see deer going for my Froot Loops or bunnies eating the fresh produce.

Actually, that last part would be cute :3

Maybe some alcoholic woodsman just trained his pet bear to make beer runs for him, and the bear just forgot which brand to carry off.

So while he was sitting there, trying to recall which brand the woodsman usually drank, some jerk called a wildlife expert on him.

Bearcism like this shall not stand.

The 300-pound unemployed hambeasts that get their cheap cider from Tescos surely resemble bears somewhat.

That sounds awesome, i wonder if any major brewery will capture the bear and make it the new face of Coors or budweiser?
