Torn in my decision!

Well, I've been working part-time for a security company since January. I've passed over an opportunity for full time once before, merely because I absolutely loathe the 2p-10p shift. I moved 1300 miles across the country to be with the love of my life, and I can't work with that since she gets out of school at 3p. So anyway...

A third-shift position just opened up for full time. Third shift is my preference because of my schedule of spending time with her during the day when I can, catch a nap, go into work, come home and sleep, ya know? Now one of the bastards from 2nd shift moved over to 3rd shift, and I really need the full time.

Now, I've got to balance my love with my finances, 'cause right now having this shitty part-time 20-hour weeks isn't anything to live on. But I also came out here for her, ya know? Ugh. I need some advice on the situation.

Well think about it. Which is going to pay off more for you in the near future: seeing more of your girlfriend or having a full-time job with scarce time seeing your girlfriend?

Bud, it's not easy to find full-time work sometimes. I'd take the money and run with it for now. Then, if you find yourself able to financially set yourself up away from working full-time, then you can have that option. Plus, you never know when that third shift spot may open up again. Shit like that opens up all the time because people can't stand those hours.

Honestly, I think you'd be better off for now taking that job.
