Fatalities among marathon runners are comparatively rare, with a risk of approximately one in 100,000.
More like three in 19,000 now. That 11 mi. to 13 mi. zone was a real deathtrap.
I'm betting the water station at mile 10 was poisoned. I know I don't trust the water people hand out at marathons. Sneaky wannabe do-gooders.
Or maybe since dying in a marathon depends on so many different factors it takes on a normal gaussian distribution and the possibility of 3 people in 19,000 dying on any given day is a real possibility, although rare.
But who knows. :)
when you talk, i dont care what it means, shouldn't just stare at you, should i?
