How is this movie made? 2009-10-19 14:40:02 Reply

This movie impressed me but I came with questions about it's creation, how this movie animated?

is it FBF or tweened? and how much fps it uses to make it run smooth?
it struck me interested and I will try to practice from such animation's

This also goes for madness tough, seeing as they're both have floating hands/rayman style characters, how are these movies made? are they fbf or tweened? and what fps do they mostly use?

Surely he must tween, otherwise everything would take 10 times as long but look exactly the same!

I can't tell you for sure (since I didn't make it myself), but there is absolutely a mix of frame by frame and motion tweening. It's pretty smooth, so I'd bet on a FPS of around 24, perhaps a little lower.

If you want to do something like this the biggest key is to have good form and small movements that close out a motion. What I mean is if someone falls, they don't just hit the ground and stop, they bounce slightly. It's the basics of animation though, so if you aren't aware of them any good animation book or tutorial will explain it pretty well. You just have to remember never to have anything stop or start from a dead stop. Things in the real world aren't so sudden in movement.

So from what I understood it's half tween and half fbf using both when necessary?

For the fps it should be equivalent of 24 or so? standard goes well.

I think the animation would have been 10/10 if it was FBF drawn buti think its 50% tweening 50% frame by frame thing-thing
