I'm not healthy but I'm not fat. I was just pointing the fact that cheap food can be more fattening than the more expensive types. One main reason is that it contains shit and nothing to fuel the metabolism.

That ban is ridiculous, if you're fat, that's your own fault, no exceptions. They can't discriminate you for your race or religion, which is not your fault, but for being fat, that's just silly. They can't make that illegal.

This is what I was thinking. They say in the article, we need to ban "fatism" because people are attacked for being fat. Being assaulted for being fat is illegal, they're just trying to turn it into a hate crime. They're eventually going to segregate everything and make anything bad that happens a hate crime.

I'm pretty divided on the issue though. On one hand, you have that people who choose not to lose weight don't deserve to be protected from ridicule. I myself am a bit on the hefty side, but I wouldn't expect someone to be locked up for asking me if I wanted another doughnut. I make no effort to lose weight, it's your right to use whatever retarded, unoriginal insult you can come up with. In fact, I encourage anyone to come up with funny original insults against fat people, the most annoying thing is overused insults.

Discriminating against fat people in terms of getting a job is wrong though. If the job requires some level of fitness, then by all means choose a fit person, but I don't find it acceptable to refuse someone a cashier job purely on aesthetics.

Doctors should be allowed to tell you you're a fat cunt though, it's their job to not let you die.

Though i must say, even if this became a real discriminating job crime, you just know the modeling world will STILL fire/not hire models who are anything over a size 10. So if they did go ahead with this bullshit they would need to address modeling because well any fat person could try and get a lawsuit against a big fashion company based on the fact that they didn't get the job because they were fat.

Absolutely. It's why I don't visit the doctor much actually. Even when it's for a separate thing, she always insists on bringing up my weight. It's her job to yeah and while I might not be comfortable with it, it's her job to ensure I have good health.

Things like that will be one of the reasons it will impossible to implement. To get rid of "fatism" within modelling industries would take the restructuring of the whole business. Obviously people who fall on the wrong side of size 10 can still be beautiful. Like the Boots adverts show, anyone can be beautiful, but changing the whole fucking face of modelling would be impossible. You'd get ugly fat people trying to get in and claiming discrimination, it would be a mess.

Also, God forbid they introduce fat person quotas for employers. I'm not sure of the extent of quotas for women or minorities in the workplace, but I'm certain they exist in places, and I find the concept fucking ridiculous. It's a kick in the teeth to people who aren't in the minorities, and it's fucking insulting to be employed to fill some quota rather than on actual skill. It causes a rift too. I'd be pissed if someone who couldn't tell their arse from their elbow got into the same position I trained extensively for.

I haven't been to the doctor in time. I don't have so many health problems, and the doctors scares me for other non-weight related reasons.

Problems to get a job, discrimination, uncomprehension, why all this hate? What if you are being born like that? One of my aunts had genetic fatness and passed half of her life lamenting it. I saw the disgust of ppl who was near her when she was walking the streets or trying to enter the bus. Nobody cared if she was the most kind person they knew, they only saw her body first. That just taught me to appreciate honest ppl instead of their looks. I learnt to see a rotten soul through a mask of beauty. Plump ppl have wit, capabilites and can be sexy too.
Plus, plump girls have less complexes, they can be really fun. >:3

I dislike the notion of a hate crime anyway, as if doing a crime against another person is more serious because they fall under the hate crime category. Beating the shit out of someone should be punished the same no matter who the victim is. That is another arguement though.

As for fat people, being fat generally sends a message that your lazy/greedy/weak willed and various other things because most of the time it's something you can control. Now i like women with "meat" on them or are plump here and there....same can be said for women who like a "big man" in the non-penis sense. Now the difference between that and fat people is when you can't fit your arms around that person for a hug anymore...that's just gluttony and lazy at its peak.

Why should people like that get special treatment? my/your/our taxes in the NHS get eaten up day in and out by people exactly like that(same goes for people who refuse to give up drinking/smoking and end up in hospital every month) because they are in my view just pathetic, i'll repeat i can understand some cases where medical issues come into play(and emotional even) but people who just allow themselves to end up like that deserve their fate.

Now i have no standards when it comes to comedy and jokes(replace Jew with fatman/gay/homo/necrophiliac/black guy/retard/cripple) which means i'd laugh at a fatty joke with equal measure to any other. If i saw a fat person falling over and struggling to get up, i'd probably giggle in my head or chuckle out loud if it was hilarious...if i was insulting someone i'd use what would hurt them the most so "shut it ya fat c-nt" or "shut it x insult" but i only ever insult people when i have a reason to.

But you would think common sense would apply but i bet this kind of thing would get some form of support over here.
