i worked at staples and mostly everyone there were assholes. i gave my two weeks notice when i was ready to quit. then i waited it out and came in every day of those 2 weeks. a year later i got fired from the next job i got, so i went back to staples. when i asked if i could be rehired the co-manager went to check the computer. when he came back he said i couldn't be rehired for 5 years because someone put me in the system as "non-rehire-able". so i hate staples with a passion.

I worked at Staples for 4 years. My manager there was an asshole. He duped me out of a raise and even lowered my pay rate once, but I was pretty relieved when he laid me off. But so were 90% of the customers assholes as well.

i just thought of a funny staples moment. my friend who was working the same day as me had a warrent. the mystery shopper (a person hired by staples to judge customer satisfaction by posing as a customer and asking questions) came up to my friend and started asking some questions. he happened to answer all of them correctly and scored a 100%, which isn't the easiest thing to do. as soon as the mystery shopper left the store, the cops came right in, walked up to my friend while he was stocking paper, and cuffed and arrested him inside the store.
if only the mystery shopper saw that, right?

Yes they are.
I went in and asked them to check my printer cartridge, which is probably just clogged, and the manager said no.
Then they offered to sell me a 45 dollar print cartridge and offered me 3 dollars for my used cartridge, which was still full of ink.
I think they are not only assholes, but stupid assholes, because they were not planning on keeping the cartridge for themselves, but they would have sent it off without thinking how much it probably was really worth. Which, according to the internet, is more like $15 and not $45.
CompUSA left that space and was replaced by Staples, basically.
