It's good so far, but just have read like the first 100 pages.

Son, you are traveling down a raod that will rape you of your childhood and manhood. I suggest you put the book down and go do some lawn work.
Why yes, I have!
Only to give me reasons to fall back on when I bash the book.
Respect, it's what I do...Then again, so is UberCream's job.
I read all of them.. downhill after the first one.
I have. Nothing will ever let my dick grow back again.

Edward dies at the end of the last book
Spoiler Alert.
2012? Please! I have an extra life.
Yeah, and it was okay.
Not very well written at all, extremely clichéd and the main character was completely mary sue, but it was mildly entertaining.
Tried to read the first book, but it was too painful and boring.
I quit at about the halfway point of it, so meh.

It reads like a piece of erotic fanfic without all the spelling errors.
I could barely finish the first one. Then I burned it. And made a video.
Vote Green.
Sig by PabMo. Thank you very much.

Also, I like annoying Americans by calling English football "real football" and American football "rugby".-Lost-Chances
I have'nt read them personally, but my daughter, (she's 20), owns and has read all 4 books that have so far been released and she loves them. And from over my shoulder she is telling me they definetely get better and better. She is totally hanging out for the last 2. Apparently there is 2 more books to come.
Good things come to those who wait. Post your Stat Level Ups here.
Amazing Hendrix Covers and more

Would just like to add that I would never read them myself or watch the movie, its just not my kind of thing.

I will never lower myself to those books.
By the way, my girlfriend made me read them. Don't worry guys, I broke up with her.

How embarrassing.
Its terrible, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. it was crafted to appeal to girls, and so naturally it appealed to me.
Its some of the shittest writing I've ever encountered, borrows from and then violates every vampire and werewolf trope there is, makes up random nonsensical new elements for both, lacks a plot, is deeply sexist, lacking of excitement, the characters are whiney, obnoxious, stupid and not at all appealing.
The whole series ends with the most incredible anti-climax I have ever encountered and is wish fulfillment, plain and simple.
Stop now, before it destroys your mind.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.
Twilight? Newgrounds has never heard of Twilight before.
lol, those books are for teenage girls

yes it gets much better. Give new moon a try and if still doesnt interest you leave it. It's really a love hate thing. Either you love romance or you hate it. Or you can just barely tolerate it.

I'm a sucker for romance stories, but the fans of this make me more scared of reading it than they should.
sorry I don't read books written for 15 year old girls to get wet about
Rough em' up
I read it, alright.
It was the shittiest book I've ever read. Bella is a whiny Mary Sue, it's fucking annoying to read about Edward's perfect perfectness every goddamn 5 minutes, it's sexist, it lacks a plot, it's boring, it breaks the rules of its own world, the author is a stupid bitch with the mentality of a six year old, who believes she created the best love story of all time, etc.
I can go on and on on how the series sucks balls, and the fact that the fans are batshit insane doesn't help much either.
Ignorance is bliss, kids.
Oh god not this again. I don't think that newgrounds is the most unbiased place to ask about this.
I'm not sure if you're trolling or just have bad taste in books.

Eclipse was my favorite, I enjoyed it more than New Moon.
It's become "the thing" to bash them, so there's not much that can be said to those who insist that they're garbage.
If you're looking for some sort of deep, meaningful read then look elsewhere, but if you're just looking to be entertained by a good story (which may have its imperfections), but is overall enjoyable then go ahead and keep on reading. I liked them, and I think it's silly to slam books that get people reading, even if the book is a bit on the light side.

Well said.
The series has become a bit of a hot topic in my Literary and Cultural Studies class this semester (studying fantasy and culture) and it all seems to come down to a few key criticisms; primarily that the series is mere gothic romance rather than low fantasy and that it reinforces the dominant heteronormative ideologies of sexuality. I haven't read the books, in fact I'm actually reading the opening chapters of Twilight in the online sample at the moment, but the long and the short of it is that it's a genre novel (on more levels than one), so it's very much mainstream literature, which (to be quite blunt) isn't your typical literary masterpiece.
I guess you could say similar things of Harry Potter, but I actually really enjoy that series for what it is, however I believe it to have a little more literary merit as it tackles some bold themes and strays into counter-heteronormative viewpoints, which could have potentially harmed its readership in its resistance of the dominant middle-class (muggle) ideologies.
