Making noises while playing games

I was just playing halo 2 and I found myself making little gun noises whenever I shot someone. This got me to wondering if anyone else does this while they play games. I also usually make a big "BOOM" noise whenever I shoot the spartan laser. Also, I usually make little engine and brake sounds whenever I play need for speed, but that's just about it. Anyone else do this odd thing?

Never made noises as I've played games, but I can understand some people do. It's not an uncommon thing, I don't think.

I find that a little strange. The only noise that comes out of me when I'm gaming is the occasional foul word as someone ruins my spree.

Or when the spawn killers come out to play. God I hate them.

Actually, I do that quite a bit. It's something I've done since I was a kid, my mom made sure to remind me how much noise I made while playing games. I would constantly annoy her with my sound effects and talking to myself. I'm 23 and I still do it. The funny part is...

I usually only make noises and talk to myself if there are people nearby while I'm playing a game. You'd think that it would be the opposite, but for some reason when I have an audience I'm more inclined to be loud during a game. I cuss a lot more if something irritates me. I don't make as many noises as I did as a kid, mostly it's talking to myself now. If people aren't around me, I'm much more quiet, only rarely throwing out a cuss word if something irritates me.

When I'm playing online and I'm alone at my house, I'm usually pretty quiet too, only talking to team mates slightly, if at all. I usually only talk if I'm playing with friends online.

So yeah, I wish I knew why I make an ass out of myself with people around me to watch, but when nobody is around and I can make an ass out of myself privately, I don't do it.

yeah, I only make noises if I'm doing something hard in the game, like shooting through a shitload of enemies. But I generally try not curse when I get my spree ruined cause that would be a lot :P

Yeah, I usually do the same thing. Whenever my friends are around I usually make explosion noises when shoot shit. Of course I do it less when they aren't here. I guess I just do it to say "I just kicked your ass".

I've never found myself doing that but that sorta reminds me of my friend. He tilts his head every time he throws a Plasma Grenade as if he were seeing it reaches the target. It's funny cuz he looks like he's trying to look above something xD i haven't pointed this out but im going to now

I never do make noises, but I freak out at other players online and my dad gets pissed off.
And I do make explosion noises when I get grenade kills. :)

I do this all the time. I tend to make the 'boing' sound from the early Mario games when I'm playing any game that allows you to jump.

Umm I tend to converse with the characters in game. Not like, "how are you?" but more like "oh I see you there and you're gonna get it!" or "now stop shooting, that's not nice". But only when I'm an eccentric mood. When in a normal mood, it's just "fucking hell" whenever I get frustrated because of a glitch or unresponsive controls.

Never, I couldn't imagine anything more stupid. I suppose I talk a little with some annoyance, actually doing that last night when I started talking sarcastically to my 'man' when he did something I didn't want him to do. But making sound effects? LAME

when i play things like SSBB with my friend and he own me (sometimes) and when i finaly get a kill on him i start yelling sthings like:
