I had a load of NERF guns, and then one day I shot my brother in the eye with the Arrowstorm, he cried to mom, and she made us throw the whole load of them in the trash. Even my brother wishes he could have resisted doing that so we could have kept them a little while longer.

Used to have a n old Super Soaker XP 275 when I was about ten, my brother had his entire class round for his eighth birthday, all outside one of our upstairs windows. Totally worth it.
Wierdly, my girlfriend got me one of the new ones, a flash flood for my birthday this year, and it's brilliant! Modded the pressure chamber a bit and now it can blow pigeons off trees...

you wonder where all of out future gun owners started? right with these things... it allows us to shoot our selves and no harm to come of it... it is also a good tag sort of game to get kids to exersise...

Well, I haven't had too much experience with nerf since I kept losing the ammo to the point where it just wasn't worthwhile to look for them. But supersoakers... now that's the good stuff! I remember back when I was a wee lad I'd watch my adversaries cower at the awesome might of my trusty Spashzooka. Hell yeah.

I just turned my Raider CS-35 (blue one, top right) from a pussy into a beast. All I had to do was remove the air restrictor. Didn't need to go further than that.

Though I probably will at some point ;D

Oh, and note the Nerf Nitefinder at the bottom. I removed the air restrictor from that one, replaced the spring, and added a bit more power with a really thick elastic band. It shoots the furthest of all my nerf guns :]

I thought the Super Soaker was a 2008 toy? Not really a childhood memory for me. My water guns were composed of shitty $5 ones from the local market. Water bombs did the trick to be quite honest.

Nerf Guns and Supersoakers now are the fucking miniguns and AKs of the toy world. which is awesome.
