Today i was robbed.

I was outside, doing an admission exam for a high school.
However, while we were out, my mother got a call saying that we've been robbed.

We didn't lose much, and the house wasn't very fucked up when we entered. Seems the thief is an anorexic that managed to squeeze though the window and fit whatever he could.

He took:
-A nintendo wii with a SSBB disk inside.
-1500 dlls worth of jewelry
-Our 17'' computer monitor (just the monitor)
-The printer
-MY backpack (he had the decency to empty out all of it's contents, but he used it to take the other stuff i suppose.

This the bad thing about living in Mexico.

Comments, anyone?

Anything similar happened to any of you lately?

Mostly, I'm pissed because this is the second time we've been robbed.

Because, after all, we've all got no reason to leave the house.
My parents both work, and i go to school, so obviously, I'm usually never around.
We might put an alarm, any other safety suggestions?

Ahh dam man that really suchs, have you reported it to the police yet? if you havnt you really should. I know you must be feeling traumatized so just try and concentrate you should probably try to calm your mum down too, she must really be upset and scared right now try and comfort her.

Also if you live in a bad nieghburhood you should get your parents to think about investing in some decent security like metal window bars and a front door gate, its what I have installed infront of my door its like one of those prison ones and its really tough :)

I hope that bastard gets caught btw

We've been robbed before, I believe it was back in 2003. It happened in 2 stages. My dad and I (it's just us in the house) were out on vacation to New York with some family, when he got a call from the neighborhood watchdog (old lady that's always watching the block.) She told him that someone threw rocks through our two front windows and she didn't know who it was.The next day, we came back home to see the damage. It was pretty extensive, several holes through each window, but none of the windows completely shattered.

The break in happened while we were out shopping around for new windows. Everything was fine until we got home, and our backdoor, which was made out of glass, was completely busted open. The glass shards told where he went, and surprisingly, the thief only took my gamecube and two of my games (both of which were pokemon, one rented and the other I owned.... :( ).

Later, we found out that we knew the guy who broke in. Him and I were decent friends actually -- but we never went inside each other's houses, but knew where each of us lived. He had said that he got angry at my dad who was the entire neighborhood manager (he patroled the entire area, looking for violations of the home association "policies" and gave out warnings and took action when the violations were not taken care of by the owners) because my dad towed his mom's car away after being warned numerous times.

Bastard was sent to jail and totally banned form our block!

You weren't robbed--you were burglarized. Since your description of the incident indicates that no force or intimidation was used and shit was just stolen from your house, then that's burglary and not robbery.

But in any case, what you went through really sucks ass and everyone involved (you, your family, and the police) should be taking it very seriously.

God fucking damn it...

He went through the window, so a lock wouldn't help much. And we will install an alarm.

LOL @ that
But honestly, the only reason he ttok those things is because it's probably the only things that he could fit in that window.

Hunt him down with a bat and rob his place. Or go to the police. Or buy a security system/alarm. Or all of the above.
Just off the top of my head.
