You'd love Left 4 Dead.

I had a similar experience except with the eel on the sunken ship level. If I remember correctly.

Games don't particularly scare me as they did way back in the day, as when I was playing The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time trying to walk past the Re-Deads.

I mean, damn, as a little kid that scared the hell out of me, with the scream they give and freeze you...

But then they of course made the Wind Waker, and they lost their shock value.

A Fresh start. 10/24/09

I think I get really scared by games when you turn around and there's a fast zombie in front of your face giving you a facepalm.

That's why I quit playing Half-Life 2...

*shivers*
Lol really? I can play half life 2 on hard mode in my sleep...but then again ive replayed it countless times since it first came out in 2004.

Doom 3 is pretty scary, same with resident evil remake for the gamecube.

Protip: Play scary games when you are constipated...problem solved.

Fuckin Doom 3 scared the shit out of me......

I couldn't sleep well for a week straight. I don't know what was worse, the "A GOD I AM" A.I. or the hive mind abomination absorbing everything.

Maybe it was to zombies FULLY AWARE that they were being controlled and that begged to be killed and said "sorry I am going to kill you".

The sense of isolation just fucking enhanced everything.

The most I've ever been "scared" by a game was when I was maybe 7 and playing a hunting game. I walk up a hill like normal but it turns out I reached the end of the map, where there was a sheer cliff going down and it scared the shit out of me for some reason. ..And yet it didn't bother me to shoot innocent wolves and hang their heads on the wall.

Just because nobody has said a Flash game, I will. The Submachine series. There is no shock factor because you are alone... so so alone. Not to mention that the music contributes to the atmosphere of creepiness and isolation.

Probably System Shock 2, I even started an LP for it, but got scared shitless half way thru getting all the pictures of my adventure together, and then lost my computer.

It is really atmospheric, and most of the backstory is told thru PDA entries, which makes it even scarier because you spend the whole time distanced from any real human contact other than the frightening super mutants, or those hideous ghouls.

Reality... Scare the shit out of me all the time...

Nha reall I think the most scary game I played is RE4. Well more that anything when is the night and mutans wolf attack you. Or the part at begin where your in the village ( Fuckign asshole Dr.Salvador, he can burn in hell)...Nightmare House mod for HL2( If you wanna get scared, play it) was pretty good, nice atmosphere. let's me remember...

Condemned is a REALLY SCARY GAME! Play it in the dark, alone and with headphone, you gonna shit brick, enough to do a house.

JC Denton: "How are the drinks here?"
Renault: "Great if you like rat piss."
JC Denton: "Never tried it."

Not many games "scare" me, they do a good job at startling but rarely do they make me like want to hide or run away. Closest game to scaring was probably Manhunt 2, mainly because you are basically trying to avoid horrible faceless commies, so you keep checking behind you to make sure there isn't anyone there. It gives a good cat-mouse feel because the people will scare the shit out of you if you turn around and see some of these freaks, plus they normally kill you so you basically empty a magazine everytime you hear a weird noise hoping that you get the guy before he brings his army of chainsaw wielding inbred crossburners.

For my next trick, I will need a condom and a volunteer.

it's mandattory, according to some kind of unwritten-yet-followed rules.
