Making Money on NG

For all of you audio lovers out there, don't you think it would be cool if everytime someone downloads your song for $0.99, some of the money will go to you and a part of it will go to NG? People will be making accounts and more music and stuff and that will increase NG publicity. I dunno, you might not like the Idea, but for chaoz fantasy, paragonX( could have 58, 328 dollars (how many downloads she has for 1 dollar each). because technically we are all illegally downloading eachothers music for free and the artist isn't getting any revenue off of it.

No, it is not at all illegal. When you submit audio to the portal you acknowledge that people may download your audio for free, and may use it in non-commercial movies and games.

Also, if you feel the need to give something back to the person whose audio you are downloading, click a few ads on that page so they can get a few cents from ad revenue.

Honestly, I think the audio portal would lose its charm if people had to pay for downloading the music. NG has always been about providing seemingly endless amounts of free entertainment, and the moment it starts charging fees, you'll see other sites like YouTube really overtake it.

I'm under the impression that people submit their work to NG for everyone to enjoy and to make a name for themselves as well, even if the monetary reward would be very minor. If you're only in it for the cash, its going to show in your work. Submit stuff because you enjoy what you create and you want to get it out there so other people can see it.

Seriously, make it more about the content, and less about the cash.

Meh, I am pro-cash really, but I think it would SUCK if one had to pay for downloading songs...
