I think the consensus is that the higher you get, the less it's meaningful.
I think the guy with the highest ever recorded IQ is working as a bouncer in some club.
Basically, with the kinds of questions that are asked on those tests, a computer would beat any human easily.
But generally, someone perceived as "smart" will have a high IQ. There's not really any people with a 70 IQ going around winning Nobel Chemistry prizes.
As long as you've above a certain number, you're smart enough where 60 extra points don't really make a difference. That number probably being around the 120-130 mark.
In other words: The difference between 70 and 90 is huge, the difference between 100 and 120 is big and the difference between 140 and 200 is almost irrelevant :o
