It shouldnt take place in any other place but the USA, because

a) If its set in a place like Asia then nobody will know what the fuck any of the characters or anybody in the radio is talking about

b)Other english speaking places such as Canada and UK are fucking boring, and nobody wants to play missions where you drink tea or go canoeing.

What's wrong with foreign radio stations? I personally think it would be cool to listen to Iraqi music while driving my humvee through the busy streets of Baghdad. I love music from foreign countries.

Yes, America is cool, but I thought it would be even cooler if you could go to other countries/Cities like:

Tokyo, Japan

Turpan, China

Baghdad, Iraq

Jerusalem, Israel

Bombay (Mumbai), India

San Juan, Puerto Rico (United States)

Every numbered GTA takes place in Liberty City, and all the spin-offs take place elsewhere. That's how it's supposed to work. That said, I wouldn't mind them doing what they did with GTA 1 again; takes place in 3 separate areas: Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas. It could be split up like how the two sections in Mercenaries was split up, you simply take a helicopter ride to go to the next zone.

It would be kick-ass.

The games usually take place were the city in the first one took place, except for gta:china town wars. So since they can't think of a new name i think it most likely will be in vice city or San Andres. I think there was a fourth city but i can't think of it.

An upgraded Vice City would be fucking awesome, just make the city bigger and it would be perfect. Either that or California again, but this time less gangbangin' nonsense please. A revamped London could be alright I suppose, but the driving would be terribly shit because I imagine London is quite crowded.

Personally I think they could switch it up and have the game take place in other areas. Like for one part you're doing jobs in California, then later in the game you head off to Spain or something.

why make it smaller? GTA chinatown wars was the same size as gta iv i think.(i know gta cw hasnt got graphics like gta iv) but vice city would be an awsome setting for gta 5 with a new character?

There were two that took place in London, and they were pretty good. (GTA: London 1969 and GTA: London 1961.)

Anyway, if they revert back to the classic feel of the games which even though they went 3d they still had it until they made GTA IV.

I just feel disapointed from GTA IV, all the previous game were awesome. And I've been getting the games since the first one and still enjoyed the later ones before anyone say's I'm blinded by Nostalgia.

No theres not nine theres ten and not all were in America. GTA London was in...... you guessed it London. But I don't consider it or GTA I or II to really count.

Stop your fucking bitching about GTA IV! Its not as bad as what people are making it out to be. Yes they got rid of many of peoples favorite parts and sub-missions but it is very realistic! It has a great multiplayer, it still has many fun things to do. Really the only things I don't like is theres no Planes, and got rid of the no cops cheat. (I really miss that cheat.....) But the first PS3 game I bought was
GTA IV and I bought the PS3 and GTA IV the day GTA IV came out and GUESS WHAT! I'm still have only GTA IV and I play it everyday!

i think they should make a revamped San Andreas (remember all the awesome shit that was in it?) I think it should have a new storyline(with a black person, the original SA had one so why not the new?)
But it should also revolve aorund something completley different.
