Salad Fingers Popularity?

There are these group of guys that are pretty popular, and they drink Monster and play Halo 3, and at one time, they viewed Newgrounds religiously. They actually first introduced me to the place with Pico's School. They would always watch Retarded Animal Babies, play The Kitten Cannon, and enjoy The Ultimate Showdown. I stuck with Newgrounds and signed up, but they probably went through a strange phase or phenomenon.

About 5 years later, all they talk about is Salad Fingers, and the odd, creepy humor that is in it, except they found it on YouTube. You guys can hate me, but I'm not much of a flash person, and I.. never watched Salad Fingers. I'm sure it's amazing, but I haven't gotten around to it. They're always talking about how he threw a kid in the oven and other such things and how cool he is. He's somewhat popular at my school now.

Can somebody tell me WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?

I think Firth has done much better things than Salad Fingers.
The humour is supposed to appeal to scene kids that think it's dark and brooding and random.

I too, have never watched Salad Fingers, I remember seeing clips of it in middle school, but never watched it in its entirety.

Salad Fingers is okay. It's worth a watch just for the "wat" factor. It's probably the worst thing Firth's done, though. Burnt Face Man and his one-off things are way better.

I'm going to watch it. I'm sure it's good, but I'm talking about the popularity at my school. That's what's alarming and shocking. There's tons of other awesome stuff that isn't popular but should be. Newgrounds just isn't popular around here and a surge in Salad Fingers fans is odd.

No, dont listen to him, anything by David Firth is quite frankly sickeningly funny, PabMo obviously has no sense of humour and is in the minority of NG users, you just have to see the scores of David Firth's movies to see I'm right.

I remember watching a lot of the episodes, around 5. I think there's more than that now, but the series is NOT random. It's sick, twisted humour that not many people will understand.

Not really my kind of style of dark humour.

I like laughing at just plain horrible things (Like some kids dies horribly, I'll usually laugh hard if someone or myself makes a joke about it.) but it's not like laughing at Horrible Deaths, People's failures etc. It's just laughing at Twisted humour that just weird's you out at times.

It's the rules of the Internet. I never talk about Newgrounds in real life. If I showed them things they'd probably spread it to the whole school and then everyone would think it was awesome and it would be essentially ruined. I'm trying to save this place.

The last time I saw my youngest (12 yrs old) sister... she asked me if I had ever seen Salad Fingers... I told her "of course"
She explained to me that she had remembered me watching "The milkman" and told me that the guy who made the song also made Salad Fingers. And that is how she found it.
I immediately corrected her and Taught her of Aphex Twin and David Firth and how they are indeed two seperate entities.
I also explained to her how I AM the internet.

Bottom line:
She is 12 and enjoyed Salad Fingers.

Salad fingers really is shit compared to Firth's other work.
