probably because there are actually plenty of reasons to hate most popular games (atleast, individual ones, not all of them of course).

no games are perfect. that 5% probably didn't like it and aren't just cunts who one day thought "you know, fuck popular shit", they probably dont like the genre they're in, or thought the improvements to the genre they boasted werent good at all, or things like that.

Well though its true, I understand why. Not everyone likes the same things. My problem is more or less how these individuals decide to handle it. People can't wrap there head around the fact that people are different, but I'm probably the same way...

Some hate it simply for its popularity.
Some hate it because it overshadowed their own favorite game released around the same time.
Some hate it because it's "all anime and shit" (Japanese/Korean games only, need not have any anime connection in the first place, these are troll's we're talking about)
Some hate it simply for the purpose of hating something.
Some hate it because it's single-platform (and not on their choice system)
The majority hate it simply because other people tell them to.

When a Movie gets frontpaged, there are always a few dozen users here who feel it doesn't deserve its hype, so instead of giving the movie a 4 which is how they feel, they blam it hoping they brought the score down. Which they didn't.

The same thing happens with video games. When a lot of us give a game an 8 out of 10 or better, there are always the guys hoping they can bring down the game's popularity. Which is not how they should do it. People miss out on great games when they listen to these people.

They really don't have anything better to do.
