This post might seem a little aggressive. I'm sorry for that, but I think it's the best way of voicing my opinion. And oh yes, I'm one of those people that believes a forum for voicing opinions should be used for voicing opinions. It's a shocker. I suppose that's today though, huh, what with varied definitions and all?
It's a grand age indeed. But wait, what's that? That's the sound of every youth in Britain smashing windows, raping innocent women (not men), stealing from ancient stores and murdering people. I can hear it all out of my window. I'm certainly glad that there will be a report on this tomorrow, completely unbiased, that will show how much of the youth today is a nightmare and how the youth today is bad because the youth today are the youth today and the only things that influence the youth today is violence, sex, drugs, violence, TV, maybe a few parental influences, I don't know.
But oh no, it was never because the system they were living in was deficient, and it was never because not all young people are going to go out and commit a crime. I'd have to say, that notion is complete bullshit. The government is worried about people so they lower the crime ages, or whatever? Oh, fucking come off it. It's not about that at all. The governments of the developed world prefer to brush problems away than worry about them. Overpopulation is Thomas Malthus' masturbation fantasy, and testing parents isn't effective unless you're testing culture itself. How do you test culture? Oh boy, that certainly is a tough one. It sure would be nice if we could change some of our internal institutions instead of throwing our problems onto certain groups. Maybe we could make some alterations to education, increase the support of the worst schools without neglecting the richer schools as far as success goes until everyone is on the same page.
But that's not possible is it? Oh no, everything has to be a competition, whether it's educations or entire fucking generations. Competition is healthy isn't it? Oh boy, I certainly see the beneficial effects every day, what a lovely time to be living. It's like sitting on a nice pink cloud and asking "Am I-am I- am I dead yet?".
The military? Young people are so great aren't they? It's so funny when those younger, possibly less educated people go to give their lives to the soul of a nation, even if the conflict is quite possibly indirect or irrelevant. Just beautiful. Give me a minute to recite the national anthem.
My goodness I love borders. Without borders we wouldn't have war and without war we wouldn't have life because without war people wouldn't be living.
Oh, the courts, now this is an interesting issue. I do agree with you that the law should be the same for everyone. Of course, that means that every young person in the western hemisphere is dangerous, but you know, assumptions are certainly very healthy. Amendments might come with connotations, but I think we're intelligent enough to read those. It's also interesting to once again read that the law should apply to the DANGEROUS YOUTHS, and yet nothing about white-collar crime that in fact does more damage to more people?
Oh yes, that's right, I'm sorry. I wasn't supposed to mention that! I mean, that wasn't in the newspaper! For a moment, I truly am sorry to hear you were attacked, and this is a reason why the law should apply to all, but yeah, every young person on Earth, they're all so uninformed, right?
I'm sorry that this post is jumbled. I've written it as things come to mind. As a summary, I'll put this in: I'm sick of seeing this tabloid phenomena and I truly believe that age-based issues can be solved with a little bit of intelligence; the death penalty might bode well for serious crimes, I don't doubt that - ending youth disillusionment completely? Quite honestly one of the most impossible things, I think, for a variety of good reasons and bad reasons; the laws aren't great, maybe not even good. The laws operate for a great many reasons that might be unfair, but you know the weirdest thing? None of those reasons are tied to young people themselves. I want you to throw that psychology that the media has thrown at you so often out of the window for just a minute, because quite frankly it's irrelevant. I've mentioned them military point above. Alcohol and cigarettes? Well, do you think I need controlling right now? I'm drunk, I'll admit that.
Once again, sorry for bad structure. Pick out what you can. Or not, ignore this post, because you know, that's always a good response I know.
