Tarboy- The Greatest?

We've heard a lot of sayings that it (Tarboy) is the greatest flash on NG. With a storyline and animation with such quality as this, could there be anything better or higher quality?

My vote says, it is the greatest in NG.

I really hope you don't do that for real because even if waiting for the bus is funny and well plotted tarboy is undoubtedly a better animation and lots more effort went into than a silly stick comic.

Tarboy isn't as well animated or plotted as waterlollies or any other brackenwood animations.

I just watched it for the first time, it being number 1 on ng, and it fucking sucked!!
It was so stupid, the plot was retarded and made no sense. The tarboy wasn't "badass" or anything he was just a guy who ran around and kicked people WOW BIG WHOOP.
The plot was just stupid and they could have done so much more with the TAR part of it, the entire thing had nothing to do with the fact he was made of tar, NOR did it have anything to do with his slave vengeance. There are so many movies with a better plot, so many movies with A LOT BETTER ANIMATION, and so many movies more worthy for the number 1 spot, don't be a fucking retard OP.

i don't agree. while i do think that the cinematic effect and sound/music used in tarboy were quite amazing i don't think it is the best animation on NG.

In what category? Animation? Sure, I could agree with you there, but the portal is judged by the public, who is more inclined to vote based upon the amount of entertainment perceived from a flash rather than hard technical ability.

Tarboy is great. It's got some excellent animation, but some robots get a little bit awkward in their motions. Music sync is superb and the overall feel that Tarboy has is really nice. However I think it's a bit short from greatest movie. Anything by Adam Phillips or HappyHarry beats it at very least in raw character animation. Best movie of all time? I think that's a stretch. Best movie of 2009? Looks good so far!

Different people have different views on what makes something 'great'.

This is a question that will never really be answered. I dont know why people get bent out of shape about someone else feeling like it IS the greatest and someone feeling like it is not.

I liked Tarboy. I thought it was done exquisitely well. That being said, I personally enjoyed Ballad of CrippleKane more. It's all subjective. This is why generally detest ratings, votings, and crowd-sourced delusions of popularity masquerading as legitimate critique.

anyway I liked the movie, but I still don't think it's the greatest. For it to be the greatest it'd have to have amazing and/or beutiful drawings, a really good plot, and good voicework (depending on what type of flash it is)

for me, it was about a 8.9 out of 10

Alot of animated TV shows are animated with Flash. So Tarboy is basically a good installment for Newgrounds but only mediocre in the animating scene.

I didnt like it too much. Seems too childish.
