Holy shit! Bear at my window!

So this morning I woke up to a black bear staring at me through my window. I tried to call for help but my phone wasn't working for odd reasons this morning, so I tried scaring it away by throwing garbage at it's cubs. Bad move on my part, Momma started growling at me and started coming down from the tree it was in. 2 hours later the bear finally leaves my house with it's 3 cubs because one of my neighbours started firing off his gun. Here's a pic of it in my tree. It's not the best shot since I tried to take the pic with my web cam.

Wow - I get upset when raccoons go through my trash at night. I can't imagine waking up to find a humongous bear hanging out in my backyard.

Was it there for your garbage? Or was it just passing through?

Seriously though, when I went to my aunt and uncles for Thanksgiving they had black bear tracks in their backyard, by the end of the night there were more fresh tracks by everyone's vehicles. It's entirely possible if you live in the right area

I got an idea you should have shot it from a distance leaving three cubs to fend for themselves without their mother to protect them >:)
Or killed one of the cubs it would've scared the shit out of the mother and she'd be pissed because her kids head asploded and nobody could've stopped it from asploding.
