I don't understand the judges thinking.
"Eh, they burned a kid alive, ruined his life, and he is probably going to die. Hm, Juvey I guess." He must be under some limitations or something, I swear.
Hopefully, they will get what is coming to them somehow.

That is really terrrible!!!! The poor teen stood up to them so they won't steal his father bike and yet those scums come back and set him on fire.
His family thought, got to face 5 months of going to hospital and seeing their poor son being in pain and such, I won't blame the family if they killed one of the assholes who have done this.

The article doesn't say they're gonna be released after 21 days. It says they're being held there for 21 days. There's no word as to what will happen after that. This article, nor the CNN one inside of it don't even mention what's happening to the convicted kids.
I don't know what will happen to them after those 21 days, but I imagine they'll all be charged one way or another. Mendez and whoever's idea it was to do that horrible crime will probably serve the longest time. Since I'm not familiar with Florida's justice system, I don't know how long. Five years?
