Oh Snap! A Bunch Of Jets!

I woke up around 9:30 this morning to a loud roar of what sounded like several street cleaning vehicals infront of my house, but it was not,

the roar intensified and i could hear the sound ratteling the crystals i have hanging in the windows. it got so loud that i grabed my camera and ran outside in my boxers to investigate,

And this is what i saw, between 7 and 10 medium sized jets zooming over in formation, I got a few pics but this is te one that caputred the most jets, I also got some close ups of the others,

Hey, its not every day a bunch of jets go flying over your house... It was fucking loud! i would expect to see a quick explanation in tomorrows paper.

I get lots of low-flying jets over my house. Not to mention those tupid helicopters that think this is a hospital. Seriously man, they get like 15 feet away before they notice this isn't one

Back some years ago, it happened quite frequently that we got some jets flying over, nothing too special about it. But then again, this is Belgium. Perhaps they were just doing some flying exercises, as might have been the case for you here.

Also; only a Newgrounds would've detected that penis in those clouds.

Wait... was there an air show in your city today? The planes in the first pic look like CT-114 Tutors, like in the Snowbirds. They did a show in Cold Lake, Alberta back in august and there was a restored F-86 flying in formation with a CT-114 and a CF-18 Hornet. That's likely what you're seeing.

These ones where even fucking lower, Part of the second group, If i had to guess i would say they where going about 400 - 500 km/h. im no expert but im guessing it was close to the speed of sound because i herd them pass like 5 seconds after i saw them infront of me, LOOK HOW CLOSE THEY ARE! its like there interested in my house... all 7-10 jets flew almost exactly over my house, you can even see the power lines in the bottom for reference of height,

No no air show that i know about, im sure i would know about it...

Prob just out for some practice? I know there where a few diffrent types of jets so perhaps they where transporting them to an air show some where in the states, they where headed south,

I just checked the snowbirds schedule, they did an air show this weekend in Witchita, Texas. Next weekend they do a show in Virginia Beach. Where do you live? The only reasonable explanation for this would be if you lived in or around Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, where most of the RCAF aerobatic teams are based. That, or a bunch of people who happened to buy F-86's and fly in formation over your house just to freak you guys out.

Ok, I just actually loaded the third picture. That's a CT-114, with a CF-18, and an F-86. The same formation that the RCAF put up in Cold Lake to commemorate both the restoration of an F-86 and the centennial for the RCAF.

15 minutes for you is about 1 minute for a jet fighter.

For example, there is an air show going on in San Francisco right now, I live about 45 minutes to an hour away from San Francisco, however, there is an AF base nearby my house, so half of the fighters take-off and land at the base before and after the show, it probably does not take them more than a couple of minutes to get to San Francisco.
