Loved the book as a child.

But I remember the book being like 15 pages long, with full color pictures... not sure how they turned it into a 2 hour movie.

I'm too old to care though... about anything... except your mother. I care about her wet pussy every night. Your mom is a whore. I love it.

Your dad likes to watch.

If I was that boy, I'd make those monsters my minions and conquer the world with them.
But then again, with today's technology my rampage would be over in minutes since they'd just shoot them.

I could still use them to get better grades by just sending a monster to her door asking if she would be so kind to change my grades.

The book's spanned a great enough length of time that I think it's about perfect. I mean, I can envision a full 10,15,20 minutes spent giving the audience a feel for the kid's family (ie: a dinner scene where he's then sent to change into his pajamas and go to bed) followed by 5 minutes of the transition from dream to his bed becoming a boat and his landing on the shore, then 5-10 minutes of introducing the monsters, 5-10 minutes before he's crowned king, 5-15 minute devoted to his wild rumpus, and then I'd give them the liberty of 20-40 extra minutes to devote to miscellaneous plot items and the return to normalcy. That puts the movie between 50-100 minutes.

Nice. Evark, but you forgot how they actually are making this movie about nostalgia, more then anything. Add 10 minutes for takes of happy fun kiddie time.

I wanna see it so bad.
