All technology would be devoted simply to making graphics prettier while focusing only marginally on the gameplay.
Can you leave your Wii wonderland for just a moment? The Wii has last-gen graphics and it brainwashes you into thinking each game has amazing gameplay. Just because PS3/360 can handle better graphics doesn't mean that every game will lose its gameplay quality in the future. Im positive that every company worries about gameplay over graphics-- even in the future.
All games would be FPSs, RTSs, and MMOs such as WoW.
There is alot of FPSs now and there will always be alot of FPS. MMOs take too long to develop and too many resources to maintain. There is not many RTSs that come out and that tread will probably continue. I believe there will always be a healthy balance between game genres.
