Well, you actually wouldn't want to eat less carbs. Carbs are your primary source of energy and you'll need them for working out. So really you'd want to eat more than what a person typically eats because you'll burning through those energy-packed carbs like crazy. Hence the phrase "carbo-loading."
You only eat less carbs if you sit on your duff all day doing nothing. Then they just end up being stored as fat instead of being used as energy.
