Welcome to the deepest pit in puberty my friend!
When you ride the long road of life, at some point, you encounter a certain 2-way choice.
Now the first choice goes downhill physically, but uphill mentally, going down is easy, and fun, you go down and down and down, ignoring the signs of danger, and ignoring the bad weather you focus on the ride, however, at some point, you arrive at the pit... and that's when you have to climb up... most likely for the rest of your life.
The second road is a LONG way up, it's a harsh, and horrible way, but the weather is always in favor, there is green all around you, but it's extremely tiresome, however, when you arrive at the top, it will only go straight or downhill, and being at the highest point already, if while going down you encounter another hill, your velocity will make up for it and you will pass it easily.

Now, I don't know whether you are having trouble getting up the hill from the 2nd way.
Or that you are stuck in the middle of the 1st way.

I hope for you it's the second, if you're on the second way, DON'T worry, it's really going to fix itself, just, try for example to make your father feel comfortable when he comes, your father doesn't NEED your smartness, try to make him something to eat for example, your father needs rest when he comes home.

Chill out, I also was at this point in life once when I thought the world had turned against me and my parents in general.
Then, I sadly had to make myself think that I had control of my own life, and that I, with my own hands, could turn my own life into something beautiful, being only 14 years old (back then)
So I had to convince myself that my parents weren't that important.

However, after I started taking my own life as my own piece of art, it got better, I just started understanding how my father felt, my mother, I started acting better against my sister, hell, I even got more friends in school.

I can't really give you a do-this-do-that advice, since for every person, there is a unique way out of a problem, just try to get something out of my post.

Dude, I have EXACTLY the same father, only he already has divorced my mom, he really loves me, but very often, he is very busy doing his own stuff, and I respect that, since I too am very often busy with my own stuff, and I HATE it when my sis comes to interrupt me, so I really don't bother my father when he is busy, realize that, and it'll be fine.

Just talk to your parents. Tell him how you feel. Also, you should never come to newgrounds with this kind of help. Trust me. Three to four out of the five responses will be hate filled.

It's not that we're all assholes. We just feel big behind a computer screen.

If you're looking for help you've come to the wrong place. Most of the people here couldn't give a shit about your problems, probably because they have their own shit to deal with or they just don't care.

Okay, but try to talk to him about something that is interesting to him. If he sits down to watch TV talk about the show he is watching, his favorite shows, etc. He's tired so don't expect to be throwing a football around. Or tell him you feel ignored.
