It's called hyperventilating. It kills brain cells. Don't do this.

There is a much more controlled way of doing this.

1. Bend over and take 10 deep, quick breaths.
2. Stand up straight and do the same.
3. Tense your neck/head and push your palms into your neck.

That way it's not all sudden like you just described. I did this quite a lot for a few days when I found out how, but once I fell over and hit my head I stopped doing it. I didn't hit my head hard or anything, but I could have.

I tried this at the park and blacked out for one whole minute! I woke up on the floor thinking, "wtf?" and relised my watch had gone, then I saw my frined and remembered that I gave it to him just in case I break it whilst falling. You think of weird stuff when blacked out.

Yeah, this is just cutting of air (oxygen) to the brain, it comes with the risk of having some bad effect on your brain, maybe even permanent damage. Also, I usually tend to not do something the internet tells me to... just no.
