Downgrading Ipod Touch to 3.0

I just bought the ipod touch on oct.8, when the 3.1.2 update came on. I didn't know much, so i updated it.
Now, I want to jailbreak it, but there is currently only jailbreak available for 3.0.

So tell me your opinions.
should I :

a) Wait for the 3.1.2 jailbreak to come out
b) Downgrade to 3.0
c) dont jailbreak in the first place

and please state why.

I f you chose b), can you tell me how I can downgrade it safely, withought getting viruses or
turning it into a brick?

You should just wait. Jailbreaking isn't as awesome once you've done it. They've already jailbroken the mac version of the update so it's only a matter of time.

I agree with Reaperyami. You should not upgrade your iPod Touch if you plan on doing anything to it that Apple doesn't want you to do. This also applies to the iPhone, if you manage to get your hands on one, and iTunes as well. I don't recommend downgrading since there is a possibility of it being bricked by free programs. If you do jailbreak it, use Cydia since it is better than Installer in my opinion.

I've just checked the internet, and they said that there is a new program called blackra1n. But it says:

So, what is blackra1n? blackra1n is a 30 second ALL device 3.1.2 jailbreak. Even the ipt3, but the ipt3 is tethered. In order to boot it, just rerun blackra1n. As far as donations go, they are much appreciated, but not until after blackra1n works for you. I never ask for donations before the tool is released.

I don't understand fully what it means.
