I had a rocket launcher that fired 5 rockets at once, each about 300 damage, plus x2 electrical damage.. it still sucked :/ (that was at level ~20 too).

I have a revolver that shoots 7x 63 damage, with a clip size of 6.. it kicks uber ass :) Though my house mate who I play over LAN with has a 7x 100 damage revolver with ammo regen, so he wins a bit there >: P

Well, I LOOOOVE HEAAAVY WEAPONS THAT DO KAAAABOOOM. So, I tried playing with 3 different rocket launchers, and it was fun if I could join any online game.

I don't play the game to duel, I play the game to play the game. And I'd much rather walk up to an enemy and 1-hit it with a shotgun headshot rather than shooting 6 rockets at its feet, especially considering they should die from one-two rockets. I mean, come on, it's a ROCKET.

Use ammo class mod is Roland (6 ammo regen should do the trick) or just ammo regen skill with BREEK.

Eh, enemies at higher levels don't die from one shotgun headshot...although l have to say that the shotgun l got from the last boss before the ugly thing is better than a rocket launcher...it shoots some kind of explosive balls which, although painfully inaccurate, have a wide area of effect.
Also, have you actually found an orange weapon?If yes, could you please take a pic of it?
I would like to see one :(

Found at least 10 of them, and all of them have been pretty shitty.

Might I join? I have a level 18 soldier, and I think my best weapon is a revolver that is 37 X 7 or something like that.

Just try everything. Relocating skill points really doesn't cost much at all, unlike in most RPGs, so you should just try different builds until you find one you like.

oh? i found one that does 358 dmg, and with rolands faster firing rate perk, and increased clip size perk, it was quite a good gun.

Meh, my sniper rifle does ~480 damage with 150% crit damage (and since it's a sniper rifle I get headshots 75% of the time), and my revolver does ~70*7, so roughly 500 damage..

Actually my shotgun has the most damage, ~120*11.. I forgot about that, somehow :P Bad clip size (mordecais clip size skill only increases sniper rifle clip) and slow reload, but powerful and accurate.

The gun is pretty crappy. But I'm holding on to it for the mere factor of owning it. Also found a shotgun that does 64X11. And I play on xbox 360, I forgot to mention that.

Some fucker joined my friend and my level 50 arena game, and he had a rocket launcher that shot about 3985235823959835983298 rockets at once, totally lagging out the game and causing mass explosions.

Thankfully my friend and I were both sirens and dazed him so he rage quit. Stupid glitcher. :p

why didn't you host a private game in the first place?

Now that you lot have been playing the game for some time, I'm interested as to know whether you still think this game is worth buying not. I've asked to get Modern Warfare 2 for Christmas, buy it's cheaper if I get it with another top 20 game, and Borderlands is one of them.

Does the game still feel like it's going to last you a good while yet? or do you feel as if you are starting to grow bored of it?

I know I shouldn't really be complaining, since I'm getting this as a gift anyway, but I might as well try to get a game that is going to last me a bit.

its only boring if you dont play with friends. other than that, the amount of guns, the classes, the class trees, and differences between all of the above, is enough to keep you playing for months, and at least like, 12 play throughs. in fact, i have 9 characters, all around the same level, and the game is still fucking great.

Well, l stopped playing it for a while, but this was mainly because l had so many other games to play at the same time...
If you plan to play single player only, then don't buy the game (even if you're getting it for free, whatever)..oh, by the way, you MAY have some serious problems with your ports, like me...for the moment, l did EVERYTHING l could to fix them, but nothing seems to be working...anyway, if your ports work then the game is epic fun, and it will last a long time (especially with the future DLC)...
Also, on a side note, if you want a game that will keep you playing for a long time, get Dragon Age: Origins...it's fucking epic.

Borderlands looks like quite the game, but would it be worth buying for my PS3?

I say only buy Modern Warfare if you didn't get painfully bored of CoD4. Don't get me wrong, CoD4 was amazing, so amazing that I played about 15 days game time on MP and got 100% gamerscore.

The problem was that it eventually got stale. MW2 feels almost identical, but with a whole lot more upgrades.

Whereas Borderlands is a whole lot different. Yeah, it takes a lot from other games, such as Fallout, Diablo, etc., but it feels different and completely new.

Getting kind of pissed at the Xbox 360 glitches now. I was fortunate enough to play through the majority of the game with friends, encountering only a few minor glitches (such as falling through a wall), but today we had an open game and two completely random people joined, both glitching.

One was a level 90 Siren, one was a hunter that could shoot up to like 20 bloodwings at once. The latter wasn't a big deal, it actually looked pretty cool, but the Siren had the nerve to message my friend once he got kicked, complaining how being kicked would mess up his level 90 character.

... As if we cared.

Also, yeah, apparently MW2's gameplay is REALLY similar to MW's...that's why l don't think that MW2 deserves a 10/10, because MW actually instroduced some new gameplay elements (no more WW2 :D), MW2 is just a better version of its predecessor...

Currently a level 47 Hunter, I picked up a Revolver that does 587 Damage, Unlimited ammo, and has a weird blade thing, It also has the most kick-ass reload speed EVAR.\

Also, Eridian weapons = shit, especially the cannons.
