Ah, now I feel stupid ;p Yeah, I was mistaken, it was anisotropic filtering not AA :[ I guess they didn't put in any AA because it's cel-shaded, but it would look much nicer with some AA I think.

Yes...AA should be a must when your game's graphics are based on edges (with thick black lines around everything, that is...)

Hi. I would like to join. I like borderlands and have a BREEK. I love my brick he is so strong. Oh and here is a pic of the badass bruiser I tortured. That thing under his face is his shoe. Don't ask how...

On my second playthrough now, more of the same but at least it's a little more challenging...

I also don't know why everyone dislikes the ending. The whole game is a joke and doesn't take itself seriously, so why would anyone think the ending would be awesome?

Well, except the last boss fight was incredibly lame in comparison to the one before.

Yeah, but I wouldn't consider the ending awesome either way.

SLIGHT SPOILERS IN THE NEXT TWO PARAGRAPHS.

My perfect ending for the game would've gone something along the lines of: the vault opens up, rather than squid vagina popping out a handful of new huge beasts, some just slightly tweaked versions of earlier bosses (mainly rakk hive - maybe a new color pallet) and some new ones, so you're fighting like 4 or 5 huge bosses at the same time. That would be epic.

Squid vagina was gay and I desired much more at the ending, which will hopefully be fixed in the next DLC.

If you want AA you need to copy and then rename the Borderlands.exe in \Gearbox Software\Borderlands\Binaries to UE3.exe.

Then set ya AA in the driver menu and play using the UE3.exe.

I did that and with 2x AA there were white (and some pink 'no texture') outlines on some edges, so I just turned it off since it's not bothering me too much. Just the shadows that stand out as awful :L

I tried for 3 fucking hours (yes, without including the previous two) to get my static IP working, and when l finally found a program that does everything automatically, well, guess what?
My router's model wasn't in the list (and to think that it's a relatively new one) so the settings and ports cannot apply.....

I got the game last week and i love it, im a level 25 hunter (kick ass assassin class mod) and i have some pretty sweet guns and a fistful of cash.

But

Is anyone else pissed off that if you go over the "out of bounds" things at the edges of the map you get INSTANTLY KILLED?! SERIOUSLY, I hate driving only to be launched off the map and be forced to pay 6000$

It would be better if they just put invisible walls or rocks in the way to save all that trouble, Oh well, Great game anyways.

Or wouldn't it just be better, if like on Fallout 3, They actually let you wander about....EVERYWHERE! I've always dreamed of a game where you can actually go to where ever you can see. You can walk for miles, or drive. While still encountering huge fuck-off monsters for you to kill.

However, Borderlands is an amazing game. I'm so struck by the way it looks. It has that sort of "Comic book feel" to it, which was a shock first time I played, but I have gotten used to it now, and its a very very good game. Somewhat challenging too!

Uhm...well, this "wherever you can see" is kinda wierd to say, because some games just put a wall in front of a restriced area and they are done....seeing a background is way better than seeing a wall..also, if you want a game with no boundaries, you should try games like GTA, Oblivion etc.

Not really. There is an invisible wall in GTA with the seas. What I was thinking of is a game that revolved around the whole world, or not that, but you get it. You can fly to different countries and just walk for miles and miles. That would be awesome.

Hmm..well, for that to work you need an actual sperical planet....l can think of a game: Mass Effect.
Although it's far from being a 100% free game, as far as the exploration goes, you can actually go visit and exlpore any planet and comet in the game's solar system from end to end (assuming that spheres have an end :P)...
Still, l get your point.If Borderlands had an actual planet as a map it would be cool..although awfully complicated to create ;)

Of course it would. Plus, the game would be over 10GB in size so would be quite annoying, it would possibly be bigger than that too!

However....I will sit and wait for that day to come around when that type of game actually DOES come along :3

Why are rocket launchers so extremely shitty in this game? A rocket launcher will say it does 800 damage, but it really only does like 200 when you hit someone with it.

I have to agree. The rocket launchers that are mounted to the vehicles are rubbish too. My sniper rifle makes a better on shot kill, than the rocket launcher....Which takes about 2 or 3 shots to kill a raider.

Edging closer to level 50 now. The quests have gotten a bit stale but that's to be expected in a game like this.

For a while I was regretting I bought this over MW2, but the more multiplayer gameplay videos I see of MW2 the more I just don't care. I played CoD4 to death, and the sequel looks almost identical. It'll probably still be awesome and I might just pick it up in a year or two. We'll see.

For now, here's to hoping the DLCs will add a few more things to the game, other than a new questing zone.

It does quite a lot including actual water effects, before when you would drive and run through water it would stay the same, it's more realistic now.

That's where me + my friend are in the game, and that is exactly what I said. I swear they did that on purpose, there is no way they could have done that by accident.

Also I totally agree with the statement about rocket launchers being underpowered - and I must say the vehicle weapons suck a lot of penis. The mounted machine gun is underpowered and incredibly inaccurate, the rocket launcher equally underpowered.. I hope they make it possible to upgrade those a bit more.

Im sad I didn't pick this up sooner, but Christmas is a guarranteed spot.

MW2 will take up most of my time, but Im in love with this games cel-shaded art style. Most people are put off by it though.

You obviously never tried a rocket launcher that fires 6 rockets at a time, did you?
It will make you win ALL duels, and is deadly if you fire it on the ground below the enemy...
