Am I the only one who doesn't like the visuals of this game?

I feel like if they went more realistic, and had realistic monsters, weapons, enviornments, etc, it would me amazing. And suck you in. Instead of a catoonish attempt at an RPG.

More realistic=more generic.More generic=boring.
Critics and most players find the graphics awesome, so you're one of the few who don't like it.
Also, finished the game..the last missions were really good (although the bit before the last boss was kinda tedious)...but the ending..wtf.
*SPOILARZ*

Why the fuck didn't you open the Vault? Also, no special weapons or items...ugh.I am terribly disappointed :(

*END SPOILARZ*

Well, now l am level 37, but l still have some missions to finish...after that l'll play multi (and maybe create a new character) until the DLC comes out.
In the meantime, here are a few things that in my opinion would make the game better:
-Add VSync and AntiAliasing in the settings.
-Fix all the conection issues.
-Put a "fast travel" feature like Fallout or Oblivion's
-Add randomly generated enemies (combinations of body parts of various enemies)
-Moar unique weapons
-Add some multiplayer maps where the players face each other (or selected waves of monsters-and players that wait for their turn can bet on the outcome-these servers will have a 16 player limit)
-Add Multiplayer-only super hard missions
-Level up the loot-most of it is crap
-Custom armor
-Haircuts....just kidding
-More vehicles and vehicle combat

First of all the part before the boss I just ran through so it was easy as hell. And the reason you don't open the vault (if you were paying attention), is because the vault can't open for another 200 years... leading me to believe that there will possibly be a sequel. not just cause of that...

They'll do that in patches/updates most likely

I believe you're thinking of the arena and coliseums that exist in the game.

-Add Multiplayer-only super hard missions

Only superhard missions?

-Custom armor

Custom weapons. Ability to change clothing/appearance

-Haircuts....just kidding

sure, why not?

-More vehicles and vehicle combat

Didn't enjoy vehicle stuff too much but more vehicles would be appreciated. They had ONE kind!.

More classes too.

Yes, l knew that, but wasn't it supposed to be "openable" for a certain time? And isn't that "certain time" the time where you play the game?

They'll do that in patches/updates most likely

Yes, but in the meantime 80% (l am not exaggerating) of the online games l try to conncet to don't work, and people can't connect to my games, private or public.

-Put a "fast travel" feature like Fallout or Oblivion's
exists.

You never played any of the two aforementioned games, did you?
The FT there consited on looking at the map, no matter where you were (you just had to be outdoors), click on a location that you have previously visited, and poof! You teleport there. That's not quite what Borderlands does, don't you think?

I believe you're thinking of the arena and coliseums that exist in the game.

Eh, kinda like that, but with more players and some "Challenges"

Only superhard missions?

Well, no, any multi-only missions really

-Custom armor
Custom weapons. Ability to change clothing/appearance

what's the point in having a random gun generator if you can make your own weapons? :/

-Haircuts....just kidding
sure, why not?

:P

-More vehicles and vehicle combat
Didn't enjoy vehicle stuff too much but more vehicles would be appreciated. They had ONE kind!.

No, l didn't enjoy the vehicle combat much either...unless you're squishing things :P
But motorcycles, APC's or even tanks would be cool.

More classes too.

Meh, dunno if that would work out, 4 is a symbolic number (it's also the player limit for servers) so l don't think that they're gonna change that...

Also, l played a bit of Breek for the lulz, he's really fun..punching stuff is epic, even more so when another Brick is helping you out :D

Yeah, that would be a lot better. But it's still a "Fast Travel". But I agree the other way would be a lot better.

I'd rather make my own weapons than have the ones they made for this game.

Motorcycles would be badass. Would especially suit the bandits.

Hey guys, know how I said I would get it for the computer. Well I was retarded and bought the 360 version. Oh well, It's still a pretty fun game. I usually play co-op with my brother or friend, or just do campaign by myself.

Right now I'm a level 18 berserker in co-op with my brother, and a level 10 with co-op with my friend. In single player I'm a level 19 or so hunter and a level 10 invisible chick person. I finally got the elemental shock weapon in single player for my bird, and that shit kills. I was wondering if any of you people knew the answer to this question I have about it though: It has a 1 one it, so I'm guessing that you can level it up. Can you actually level it up by spending skill points on it, or by getting a certain amount of kills?

Hopefully I'll have live soon :3

R.I.P Kitty Krew ;_; and also cock joke.

So I've played a good 4-6 hours of the game, and I'm not a level 10 Hunter. The single player is really fun, I really like the art style. If anyone wants to play, my Steam ID is SgtKilmor, and my Gamespy is HolyBlade97. For PC of course.

I got the game the day it released, for the 360. I got a level 37 berserker, on playthrough 2 currently. (With 2 alien weapons, a BAMF shotgun, and a pretty sweet machine gun) I also have a level 18 Soldier, and a level 24 Hunter. The game is really, really addictive and satisfying. I've found the berserker to be the easiest class to play, because, with the right class mod and talents, you can brutally murder basically any boss with your fists. ;).

Also, to anybody who cares- there is a really easy way to gain exp if you're between level 19-25. In the Dahl Headland, after you've killed Skagzilla--- you wait until he respawns, get his attention, and then jump out the exit. He'll stand there and growl, opening his mouth. Using a sniper or other scoped gun, just keep shooting him in the mouth. From what I can tell, he gives around 16k exp. :).

There is also another way to gain really nice loot/money. In New Haven, the area right after the Dahl Headlands, (after you've killed Mad Mel, ofc), there are about 4 loot chests scattered around the rooftops of the town. You can open them all- take what you want for equipping or selling, exit and save, then reload your save. All of the loot chests will be back. I used this method on my Berserker; I now have over 1mil.

All in all, it is a pretty badass game ;)

I honestly didn't expect the game to be this deep. I heard something about it being a mix of an fps and a Diablo-like RPG, but I didn't expect a huge game world and so many amazing things. Truly one of my favorite titles from 2009.

I'm currently on my first play through as a soldier, I figured i should go with a solid class that didn't require too much skill on my first play through. I'm really enjoying it as I'm level 25 and I'm messing around near New Haven. The one thing I hate is how I can't delete old quests I took on and didn't finish, the quest log becomes muddy and not organized. So I'm thinking of going back to the Arid Badlands and just finishing off those newbie quests to get them done with.

Overall I'm really enjoying this, maybe I'll start up multiplayer once my LIVE starts working again :[

And also the fact that you can run away really easily since you regenerate health when you berserk...
BTW, any multiplayer team needs at least ONE soldier. It's really hard without the healing and ammo regen.

Fuck soldiers, I'm a 34 berserker and my neighbor is a 34 siren, and we haven't wiped since we were like level 15. It does help that I have 950 shield and 1470 health, but still.

Purple haze all around, don't know if I'm coming up or down.

Yeah, soldiers aren't really a necessity. Hell, no class is a necessity really.

I co-op with two soldiers on my main siren, but it doesn't make a difference because I have an orange SMG that has the hallelujah red text... which I recently found out means it regenerates ammo.

I guess soldier would be considered the best support class though.

Started up a hunter, like level 14 or something now. I hated it at first but every class is boring as hell at the start, up until you get decent weapons.

Been spending the majority of my in-game time in the first area, probably 15+ hours now... and yet, I'm still not bored of it. Very surprising.

Yes, but if thhe rest of them team sucks, soldiers can really help.

LOL!Ugh, l never found an orange weapon...why oh why? D:

Agreed, the first missions are very much tutorial-like, even if you turn the tips off..l remember the game telling me (when l was playing multi with my lv37 soldier) that l needed the press the LMB to shoot....lolwtf.

Also, IMO this game needs more weapons that shoot wierd stuff...l mean, l read in a game preview that the playtesters had found a homing dart launcher....where is it D:

I picked this up yesterday finally for the PC, it is awesome. I'm a sniper (mordecai, I think his name is) and only level 16 atm, but it's f-ing A. A lot of my friends have the game too so I'm looking forward to some nice co-op action, though we're all mordecai, I guess we can make some new characters to play around with.

2 problems I had with the game - the mouse smoothing (fixed through the ini edit SO MUCH BETTER) and the anti-aliasing. I'm using 8x AA and it's still pretty bad, but definitely playable and I don't care too much but if I'm using 8x AA I want it to be silky smooth. The shadows are so blocky it makes me want to cry if I stare at them. Of course when I'm playing the game, running around shooting and looting I don't give a crap, the graphics are great in general.

The gravity is my favourite thing I think. Nothing beats running at an enemy, jumping and then shooting them in the top of the skull with a shotgun as you are directly above them.

Fun times.

Also playing Torchlight atm, and it's 2 sides of the same coin :D

Waaaait a second, how did you put 8x AA?Also, l guess this game needs 16x AA to be completely OK...also, did you mess around with the shadow settings?
