I haven't tried gimp, but I really like paint.net. Because it's simple enough for beginners, yet advanced enough for the pros.

Well gimp is a better program for sure. Anything you can download is going to be better than a website. paint.net doesn't need to be downloaded though, so it's less of a hassle. It just depends on what you're looking for.

Easy. Just select all of the files, click "extract to...", then select the place you wish to save it in.
