Nothing trivial just if he watches a sad movie or something sad happens to him, is it okay for him to cry?
I'd like to think so. I saw "UP" there today and I can tell you, I cried like a little girl :P. I don't think it makes me a smaller man than any other guys.
So is it okay to cry?
Nothing wrong with it.... (You need to cry on my shoulders?)
Preapare to get fucked by the long dick of the law.
If it's a small matter, then no.
If his whole family was just butchered by his best friend?
Maybe.
1, 2, 3, Coffee 4, 5, 8, too late
Of course t is okay to cry. Probably only douchebags will tell you you're not a real man when you cry.
Don't stop yourself from crying over serious things, it kills you on the inside.

Hold me now!
I cried a little bit at up. It's okay if you're with a date.
Otherwise, the shedding of tears is punishable by death.

How the fuck do you cry at an animated movie?
Yes, it does make you less of a man.

Only if he's watching Bolt with his son.
Reference lost in time.

This is the dumbest question ever.
Anyone is allowed to cry if they wish, it would be socially acceptable depending on the social environment.

I loved the story, it was touching. Despite the medium the values stay the same.

I think its great when guys cry and are open about it. My boyfriend cried because he missed me once, and I've never been so flattered in my life.
It is most certainly NOT okay for a guy to cry, the coucil with take away your manship, you are now forever an outcast to The Men's Guild.

I wouldn't say it's wrong for a guy to cry. So that should tell you my opinion.

To everyone who gets this, EPIC LULZ!
I would say so yes. But not like cry for absolutely everything!
If you're tearing because you're happy or proud, like in Pursuit of Happyness, then yes, it's fine.
Otherwise no, and you're a freak if you do.
Well, it's actually chemical. A hormone (can't remember what it's called) is released when certain emotions occur. I remember hearing that on average men cry around once per month, and women cry 5 times a month, simply because they have more of the hormone in them and react differently than men. That and their menstrual cycle has some impact on it. Which is also why men can sometimes cry completely out of the blue for no reason at all. It's sort of like having a period. If you don't release the hormone enough and never cry, it builds up, and eventually needs released, and well, you cry. That's all there is to it. Oh, and some men have more of it than others obviously, which is why some men cry more than others.

There's nothing wrong with shedding a few tears now and then, but as long as you're not doing it all the time. Nobody wants to be around someone that's always crying...it's awkward as hell. ESPECIALLY for guys. I don't think a movie has ever made me cry, but there's a couple movies like, "Where the Red Fern Grows" that have given me goosebumps.
This post pretty much sums up my thoughts on the subject as well. I haven't actually cried from watching a movie since I was a kid but there have been a couple movies (and some songs too) that can still get me a little choked up to this day. It's ok sometimes but nobody likes a crybaby. Of course the death of a family member or friend or something like that is an acceptable time for anybody to cry, I would even expect it.
To be honest I only cry for other real people, I actually did just yesterday :(

Aw that's nice, I not really bothered about saying it. I was always seen as a bit of an odd ball.

I feel that for emotional reasons (such as an ended relationship or the death of a close person) or INTENSE pain (like a broken arm,leg or worse) its ok to cry
thanks for the sig Phobotech
No. Everytime you feel like crying just let it out by getting into a bare knuckle fist fight with your best friend until one of you is out cold.
...
i stole this sig
No it's not. We don't have emotions.
