One thing that really pisses people off is when someone gets something cool that they don't deserve. But the interesting thing about it is that they get pissed off at the recipient, not the person that gives it to them. For example, a preppy high school student gets a brand new BMW for his 16th birthday...the other kids at school don't hate his parents, they hate the guy that didn't deserve the car. The Swiss have used this phenomenon to fuck with Barack Obama, and I for one feel bad for him, he didn't ask for this Nobel Prize...they just shoved it in his face.

Al Gore and Henry Kissinger as well, just off the top of my head. There's a LOT of failures who have won that prize lately. And it's not like people hate Obama because he won this award. People hate him because he's incompetent. Him winning this award just brought a whole new spree of people coming forward like dude, this is getting fucking ridiculous. He's a terrible president.

Actually it was dynamite was intended for peaceful purposes. It was supposed to make mining less dangerous. He tried to stop its production when he learned of its use for violence. That's what led to him starting the prize.

it would have been rude to not accept an internationally recognized medal, and it might have caused some people to wonder why a man trying to make peace wont accept...a prize for peace. as for if he deserved it or not, thats not up to obama, thats up to the people that gave it to him, rather he thinks he deserves it or not is irrelevant
