I wear headphones.

As others may have said they block out "outside" noise, and they're light-weight; and if I'm not mistaken cheaper.

Uncomfortable? They're more comfortable than regular headphones.

And they only cause hearing loss if you listen to your shit way too loud...

I find them easier to carry around than headphones.

If you don't get the 150 decibel earbuds then you should be fine.

The headhugging headphones are a worse contributer to hearing loss than headphones and earbuds.

They're cheap and portable, that's all that matters in today's society. Most of them have shitty sound quality but few people care or even notice that. I prefer over hear headphones myself as they are stylish and deliver superior audio, but am too poor to buy a good pair, so I'm stuck with ear buds. They are uncomfortable as fuck, and they always fall out of my damn ears.

hmmmm well i wear earbuds cause they are cheap, but i must say the best headphones i have ever had were a pair of sonys that where the hook kind, those things were beast. and im deaf in one ear and those things could really crank, only gripe i had was that they were the hook kind and my whole ear has piercings in it....

I used to hate wearing normal earphones because they always fell out. The one's I'm using now have rubber on the outside instead of foam or plastic and they haven't fallen out yet.

I hate them, they hurt my ears and are hard to get in and fall out all the time, I would wear good old reliable Walkman headphones but I would look like a loser so I live with the suckiness.

Finally someone who agrees with me. They are uncomfortable as hell and don't even fit in my ears well. I use Noise canceling headphones which are much better for your ears.

I wear my earbuds because they are loud, comfortable, cancel out background noise, look cool and the bass is loud. And they are very sturdy, I don't expect them to break for a long time. I love my earbuds, and they're just a $5 Skullcandy rip off. Lol.

Because they sound better than any of the old headphones. I swear to you.
That is my opinion though.

However, I liked the ears on because I can easily find out which ear one is supposed to go on. Less likely to fall out. But it's pretty uncomfy.

I like headphones better. They're starting to become more of a trend these days, but I'll stick with them.

Wrong. Get a decent pair of $40 sony headphones (A bit pricey-er than in-ear, I'll admit) and you'll eargasm. Also cancels much more noise.

I personally do because they're more mobile, you can just put them in your pocket and whip it out if you're bored. But other than that, they're pretty retarded. I'd much rather prefer regular headphones.

I too find them quite annoying. I prefer headphones, but headphones wont fit in your pocket.

I use these badass motherfuckers. It's like having speakers boomed into your ears. So useful for stuff like the bus. Earbuds are ok sometimes, but I perfer not having a little piece of plastic jammed into my ears

Earbuds fucking suck, unless they're the kind that lock themselves in your ear. Any earbuds I use slide out even when going as tight as they can. And no, it's not because I don't clean my ears.

Really though; no reason to get so worked up about something like earbuds. If you get some high quality buds (I think I got mine for like 100$ or so) you really get amazing sound

Also, i'm talking Norwegian prices, so you know.. inflation and all that.

It's comfortable, sounds better, and they don't fall out. And you CAN hide them really easy. Just pop them in your ears and run the wire under your shirt.
