I find earbuds really uncomfortable and they always fall out.

But you look a dick wearing headphones so I stick to earbuds.

They're convenient for carrying into school, and I also have weird shaped ears that really don't accompany headphones very well at all, especially with my glasses and long, curly hair. It's necessary, however I like the look of headphones, they're just not practical for me. Also, these carry a good sound for both blocking out other sound and having good quality (pictured below, not specific ones) meaning I don't even have to turn them up too loud.

is this argument enough?

I wear big headphone, and i spent $50 on them, and good god are they amazing! the kind i bought are for video editing, so they dont go uber loud, which is nice, because i like being able to hear. they are soft on the inside, so it feels good on the ears,unlike buds.

Because when you wear them you give of a vibe of smugness and arrogance due to listening to superiour quality music which makes you look a dick :D

If your ears hurt because of earbuds, it means that you put them in too far and you're wearing them the wrong way. I used to think they were uncomfortable, but I found out that you're actually supposed to hang them on the bottom groove of your ear instead of jamming them inside. Not only is more comfortable, they are much harder to dislodge.

As far as price goes, you get what you pay for with headphones or buds.

Hate earbuds

1. Uncomfortable

2. Shitty quality

3. You can hear outside noise

Sure they may not fall off/out as easy but I never listen to music on the go so I don't really give a fuck.

Portable music players don't offer optimal audio quality anyway, so the difference between a pair of $150.00 Bose headphones and $7.00 Sony headphones isn't EXTREMELY EXTREMELY different.

I personally think that people who wear headphones look weird with them on. Freaking huge, thick pieces of ugly plastic wrapped around the ear.

I only wear my headphones at home, sound quality matters, but outside people who wear it look like faggots.

Earbuds look sleek and they're way better for transportation and running. When I run, wearing think headphones that pool up in my sweat isn't so cool.

Most headphones break easily anyway, and it's hard to put them away. It's quite cumbersome to me to have to wear my headphones around my neck the whole day.

Plus many headphones "leak" sound to the air around it. So a group of rappers might hear you listening to Bjork and start laughing at you, even if you don't mean to leak the sound out.

It's personal preference, but I prefer wearing earbuds outside. There's many factors that make up for its poor sound quality and discomfort.

there smaller and easy to use. thing of it as using a condom(earphone) apposed to putting a bookbag over your dick(headphones)

and headphones are so big, you have ot carry them around when your nto listening to music, but earphones can fit righ tin your pocket. :P

Well... my headphones broke from over-usage. So, they're all I got. Everything you said is absolutely right. But, because I don't have head phones at the moment, I don't listen to music anywhere near as much as I normally would. I went from every day listening to once, maybe twice a week, if at all.

When I do actually use them, I don't turn the volume up past a certain level. But, yeah, I know exactly what you mean, dude.

If you look at it that way yeah. Then again, how does the public opinion affect you? All what happens is having some people judge you for using headphones...
I don't quite care that someone thinks slightly negative about me for the way I listen to my music.
Imagine if someone just came up to you and complained that you use headphones, wouldn't that be hypocrite? you'd make a thread about it and complain. So I doubt people thinking something about it is that bad, let alone affects your life at all.

Because they're cheaper to make and to use. Plus, have you ever seen someone with a pair of headphones on, using an iPod? No, and neither have I.

Admittedly, some earbuds are pretty uncomfortable. IMO, the Apple ones you get free with an iPod are pretty damned uncomfortable.

I agree, they're very uncomfortable and make your ears hurt, plus they wear out so fast you'll have to buy a new pair every few months.

I'm still an idiot and buy them anyways.

I can wrap them around my iPod and put them in my pocket, that's why.

Because they don't look as stupid as headphones and are comfortable.

Yea..... I have the best of both worlds, comfort and efficincy. The sound doesn't leak ethier and only £15 for these quality sony earphones :P

Well, I can't really keep headphones in my pocket with my Zune because of size, so I use earbuds. Much easier to carry around, and once you get used to them, they aren't uncomfortable.

lets see...i had my pair since 3 years back and works perfectly....and to be honest i think they make better sound than the regular, you can hear the lyrics and insruments easier whit earbuds.

Personally I loathe earbuds and will not use them. I've tried all sorts of styles and "different, more comfortable types," but no matter what I just don't like them. I would much rather have an actual pair of headphones, which are more comfortable, and I think have much better sound quality.

ear bud sound quality is perfect if you're at home and it's quiet around you, but when you are on the bus or somethin like that you have to turn the volume to max. at max it still sounds like shit, you can only hear a couple instruments and , wait, why am i trying to leave a "helpful" post on the ngbbs idk
