It depends on how much media you have, and if you're into games and stuff like that, estimate how many songs you have so we can give an actually helpful answer.

Otherwise we'll just draw cocks on your pic...

I just got an old iPod mini. It was my mother's old one, and she gave me it, knowing I had been wanting one. I did prefer just normal old mp3 players. I don't need any of the other crap, but my iPod is treating me well so far, no issues. iPod seems fine to me.

I say instead of touch get an Ipod Nano. They are durable, get the job done and can now finally record.

I liked both my Zune and Ipod Touch, except my Zune got stolen and now I have the Ipod. I would go with the Ipod if you're familiar with Itunes, but Zune's layout isn't too bad. I haven't used it in awhile though so I can't really say much.

Go with the Ipod Touch, they just dropped down in price not too long ago.

I've got an iPod touch and pretty much all of it is useless aside from the music (obviously) and Safari (internet).

So personally, I would get an iPod classic for uber memory and no useless garbage. The only reason I got a touch is because my mum got it new from a friend for really cheap. I've never used a Zune though, so I'm not sure about that.

Get an iPod classic, so you can have a good amount of music on it.

Neither. I buy a Philips and its half as cheap. I don't have enough money to be picky about how it will hold my music as long as it plays I'm satisfied.

Wait, you mean you're actually considering purchasing a Zune? A ZUNE? There aren't enough characters in this text box to fully type out how amusing and humorous this is. Just get an iPod silly, that's not even a question.

Get something from Sandisk they are pretty reliable. I got one a couple of years ago and have not had a single problem. Plus the battery life is pretty good and it doesn't need to be replaced (I don't know if this is still an issue for the ipod but I know it used to be)

Yeah, but you rarely ever use yours. Of course the battery is going to be fine.

That's what I am going to be doing once I get enough money. I'm selling my iPod Touch for $150 once I buy the iPod Classic. 160 GB = lifetime of music.

Sounds good :) Like hey, the iPod Touch was good cause it has WiFi and apps and shit, but what it really comes down to is music. Besides, a cell phone can do pretty much anything, except the apps of course.

I am actually thinking of getting an iPhone when I switch to Rogers next fall. 16GB iPhone 3GS for $199.99 on a 3-year contract? Yes please :)

I agree. I've met people who've seen my iPod and the first thing they ask is "What games does it have". I never even use it for games, just music.

Buy a CD player. Seriously. Ipods freak out on you so easily. You then lose all your stuff. and often it wont let you put it back on. thanks apple.

But he might want the 16gb one because those have a lot more memory for what he wants (if I read correctly), and I'm not sure about there cost but go with the iPod.

Me too. Everyone is always saying "Waht games or apps do you have?" I always say no and they say "What? That sucks" and I say no it doesn't, it's an iPod, meant for music, not for games.

I have a zune right now and like it quite a bit.
The software kicks I-tunes ass.

iPod Touch.

I have never used a Zune so i can't tell you the differences, but iPod is more reliable.

I don't know what features are on the Zune, but on the iTouch there are tons and tons of games available for download and what not. Also if i am not mistaken isn't the Zune a phone also?

I'd go with the Zune HD. More powerful chip in it. OLED screen. Better battery life, and smaller device itself. Zune Social is a pretty neat feature too.

Also, the Zune software is 100x better than iTunes.
