My uncle was a mover.
He told me a story of something that constantly happens and why he doesn't believe that fragile should be marked on boxes.

Several times, he would pick up a box that says fragile. so thinking it was light he'd try to lift it as if it were a light box. Then he's hurt his back and notice the side says "BOOKS".

I've moved 3 times so far, and I'm only 18. And yes, it does suck.
The thing with me is that I always leave tons of crap in boxes for months after moving.
Like I can never be assed to settle in the new place.

As for packing, we always did the packing ourselves here, never let the movers do that.

Tell me about it, I've had to move my brothers around a couple of times. Luckily we only have to make one trip since we have cube trucks that we use for delivering milk lol. My brother has an old 36" Sony T.V that weighs at least 300 pounds, no joke. Me and my dad have a so much trouble lifting that fucking thing and it doesn't help that it's not a flat screen either, it's one of those old cube shaped T.Vs.

Moving sucks, I'm just going to live in my parents basement for the rest of my life. :P

That reminds me of when I first moved out to my little town from Orlando. It really does suck. I've probably moved like 4 or something times in my lifetime and it's such a pain in the ass. I'll probably be moving out soon and I already know the drill.

They do have flat screen CRTs.
(Maybe you were referring to a Flat Panel TV.)

Man, I hate moving. I had to move across two states last summer and it took a couple of trips to get everything. Packing and cleaning the old apartment were what I hated most. Ran out of boxes almost as soon as I started packing, wound up using trash bags and just throwing everything in reach into them and threw those into the trailer my brother loaned me.

I went through a town that had a population of something like 55, and there was a sign that said "Population: 55" and underneath someone had added on "And one dog".
