Resident Evil 2's death scene used to scare the living fuck out of me. Just that final scream and the blood appearing on scream just scared the hell out of me.

I haven't really played any horror games except FEAR.
It scared the fuck out of me and I usually asked my brother to come in and watch me play.

you need to play condemned 2: bloodshot! that's the WORST. especially the bear. ESPECIALLY the bear.
the fuck starts chasing you and if you make the wrong first turn, you end up in a dead end and there's a mirror at the end and you see the bear slowly walking up to you...
by the way, that's my scariest game :p

Whoa! I can't believe this thread of mine will become so popular! Well I have to say I was scared on the first time I played Fatal Frame 2. But those hot girls washed my fear away.

Still haven't beaten it (partially because my brother lost the cartridge)

System Shock 2 and Bioshock have made me jump in the past.
Silent Hill STILL scares the living shit out of me.
Resident Evil....Meh, lost its "OMFGWTF" factor over the years, although those Regenerators in RE4 scared the living shit out of me. "WTF I KEEP SHOOTING IT AND IT WON'T DIE WTFHAX!!!!!"

40 Winks (YES I FUCKING PLAYED IT AND OWNED IT FOR A LONG TIME, I still miss that game) made me jump as a kid, but looking back it was more "Hi!" jump then "AHHHH!" jump.
Unreal scared the living shit out of me the first time I played it....
Dino Crisis, that game was like RE with dinosaurs. Naturally, I was afraid.
Doom 3.... Have never finished it. Really want to though. Made me shit myself the first time, still makes me jump when I watch some parts.
Half Life 2, I fucking hated zombievile. Made me jump every time I heard a rattling pipe "*turns and waves shotgun* OMFG ZOMBIE!", then I would get raped from the opposite direction.
Dead Space....Looks scary, would play it if my Xbox wasn't completely fried >_>

Hmm Ive never been scared from a game to do that, Though a few parts in Dead Space and In Fatal Frame II were pretty creepy.

I gotta say the demo for FEAR 2 did make me go all D: and wiggle lol, a few bits in condemned 2 did make me jump like hell, and when I was around 7, I played the last level of tomb Raider 3.. god damn that spider shit still gives me chills when I think about it ._.

Fuck, I dont know why but i never liked the old door opening animations in the old resident evil.

Well, depend, I think that a good horror game need to have shitload of suspense. Here some game that scared me more or less

-Doom 3, at first is a bit scary when you walk around and then zombie appear out of no where, but later seriously it's turn into a simple FPS. No longer scary.

-Condemned, damm that series is awesome, good story, scary place, etc...

-Nightmare House (HL2 mod) Even if this is only a mod, damm if you play for the first time alone in the dark and with light off, you gonna shit brick.

I jizzed in my pants when I played Dead Space if that counts.

Dead Space made me jump a lot, and my heart race, and once in a while I would go "Ahhh!" because of unexpected events. Watching the black sergeant die was pretty gruesome and messed up, and so was the way the final boss would kill you.

Here's a few...

Clock Tower: The fact that you can't really fight back makes for some tense moments. There's been many times where I know that I'm gonna get caught, and it just terrifies me.

Eternal Darkness: THIS GAME WILL FUCK WITH YOUR MIND! I swear, when I got the blue screen of death, and it said my memory card was corrupted, I was yelling at the TV so loud, my neighbors could hear me. No joke.

Fatal Frame, Silent Hill, and System Shock 2 are a few others. Not very many good horror games have come out recently. Most just have lots of jump moments, but dont actually instill fear, which is disappointing.

i remember when the game Fear came out. My friend had it on his computer and i went over to play it. It was two in the morning by the time i actually got a chance. He was already asleep and the lights were off. Fifteen minutes into the game i freaked out turned it off turned the light on then went to sleep. Freaky little girls man....

I've never really played any scary games. I guess in terms of "scariness", Fear 2 would have to be the only game that falls into that category.

Well, it scared me.

FEAR isn't scary after about 10 minutes. It's just, "OOOH a dead bod in blood," or "OMFG creepy little girl that does nothing."
