Nerd Invasion!

Nerd Invasion! A two day festival with nerdcore music (Featuring Scrub Club and Schaffer The Darklord!), gaming, movies, and various other events!

I, for one, will definitely be going to this event. I've already got my plane ticket! It should be a ton of fun! I just figured I'd spread the word to Newgrounds for anyone in the Florida area, or anyone who's interested enough to actually travel down to Florida to take part in this awsome event (Like me).

It's going down in a month! November 6th and 7th.

I'm super excited for it. :D

Aw man, that sucks! If you're gonna come to America at any point though, do it at a point when something awsome like this is going on! Haha. Nerdapalooza is also a big event that happens every summer. :D

Aw come on man, you're on NewGrounds, you can't really be talking about laughing at nerds. You almost have to be a nerd to even post here, at least a little bit.

I've been to conventions like this before, and hung out with many of the performers and whatnot. Yeah, a lot of the people are nerdy, but it's the cool kind of nerdy people... Yeah you've got some of your stereotypical nerds in the mix as well, but hey, it's all about having fun. :)

Seriously though, it's a ton of fun and most of these people are really cool and fun to hang out with.

Do nerd chicks go to these things, too?

I mean, if I'm going to go, it can't just be all guy nerds, what with their either skinniness, or overweightness, or just the....nerdiness.

If I was going to go, I'd hope to check out and talk to some pretty nerd chicks as well as enjoy the music.

I'm not going to lie, there are definitely more dudes than chicks, however there are still a good handful of nerdy girls at these events.

Of course, Nerd Invasion has this contest, which will probably entice more nerdy girls into going.

Hey, as long as it's not all sweaty, bespectacled or completely stereotypical male nerds, I'd be fine.

I don't think nerd gals are really often the beauty pageant types.

Then again, I guess for nerd girls, it takes all sorts.
I've known one that listens to heavy metal and wants to become a coroner, while there's some that are just giggly and shy, and others that just seem arty.
